2.8 kill

I was cruisin home with a fresh tank of gas and I hit a redlight behind a Ford Stepside (90-94ish) With very loud exhaust. I guess he see's me in his rearview, so he dips into the lane to the left, as soon as the light turns. The guy pokes around until I come up beside him (keep it even for a few seconds), then he starts bouncing his throttle, so I bounce a few back and he guns it. So I lay into it from 45 MPH and pass him in about 2 secs. I'm about 1.5 lengths ahead going 65 so I let off and he keeps goin, so I open it back up and catch up a few seconds later and pass him at 80, I tapp twice and the light ahead turns red. We stop side by side and I look over to see the reason(I assume) for his lack of power, THE GUY IS HUGE! at least 220lbs and his buddy was as big as he was, I ask what he's running and he says V8. I complemented his exhaust, the light turns green and I launch without so much as a chirp and go hard until the speed limit and let off. First V8 kill in the 2.8-----I was more suprised than he was! I don't make it a habit to race from a roll, but I guess I got lucky. I will always have doubts about the V6, but every race is different....:lala:

Basic stuff

Just a full exhaust rebuild(2 1/4") dual outlet turbo muff. HF cat. It shows 16 deg. of timing runnin 89 oct. ultralight rally wheels (never seen them on a camaro before????) Hell, the car even runs wierd (I'm a Mech. and I can't fig why it idles the way it does...) I havn't had the car but for like 3 months, for all I know it has a cam...Maybe I got lucky, I dunno. Funny thing was, I went to get a bag of ice thirty min after the post, and smoked a guy bad from a roll in a 90 model celica Gt???? strange car...

All i can say is that you need to take it to the track or the dyno. heck find a friend with a g-tech and get an idea of what this thing is running. I would say tear it down and check it out, but then the magic pixies might escape and the thing won't run like it does. What ever is going on nice kill.
