If your friends 97 is properly tuned and his intake is portmatched to his heads (I am assuming he is using the LT4 intake on his LT1 heads), he will beat you. If he is untuned, and just installed that inakte without modding it to fit the LT1 heads than you could possibly win. The CC306 cam is a monster and it has propelled many LT1's deep into the 12's and a few into the high 11's with proper tuning and exhaust and head porting. JHas he touched his heads yet? If so that is another plus for his set-up. It will be close but I think he has you. Multi port set-ups like the LT1 and LS1 with big cams, exhaust and tuning are scary.

i think it would be a good race, traction will be a key factor, hopefully you can catch this race on video,i am bias towards my 3rd gens :lala:
also i dont think those stock lt1 heads will flow to match the cam,my 215 cc runner will flow up to .600 lift, that will be the next mod bigger cam,im sure it will be a good race, but i think ill take him

Whats up everyone Im chads friend. My intake was matched to my heads and im hoping for around 380ish RWHP with a decent tune n/a and alittle over 500RWHP on the juice. We will both be spraying each other and I will be sure to get the race on film for yall
i know chads car isnt slow by anymeans But I think with my new setup I will be able to make high 10's in the 1/4 on the juice

Sounds like a good race, you both have sweet looking cars. I say this would be close. I think the third gen may come out of the hole faster, but dunno if it will hold it. Anyway, sounds like fun.
