Lost to a G35 coupe

Yup, I think they're low 14 second cars. They are pretty quick and I lost to my friends brother on the highway. My motor sucks, time for a new one. It broke a while ago too. I've got plans for a new one though.

**took vid down, eating bandwidth sorry

This was during the summer.

Yea they are great stock L98 territory. They give Lt1's a run for thier maney as well. Any 305 will most likely suffer a loss from one of these cars (350Z too but only a little lighter). I have yet to race on in my 95 Z but I read of stories on other boards. Seems like once highway speeds are reached the LT1 just peaces out ahead.

Your built 350 in your sig must not have been built very well.

You raced him in a bad bad spot..on the highway. From a dig you would have pulled him pretty hard. They'll give LS1's a decent scare on the highway. Enough for you to say.."wow that car wasn't too bad it actually moved"..Trust me on that one i've experienced it in my LS1.

Nope it wasn't, I got ripped off. But ya live and you learn and luckily the problem with it isn't that big (I think) so I'm gonna fix it, rip it out and sell it. A guy who use to build race motors who I personally know is building me a good motor.

Yeah I wanted to race him from a dig cause I got 3.73's and the 700r4 but there wasn't anywhere to do it. I think it would have been closer. What do the new Nissan SE-R spec-v's run? I raced one of those from a dig and beat it. It had CAI and exhaust.

I have noticed that quite a few cars I can take from a stop or in the low end are quite capable on the freeway. Its the way they build these buzzy little engines these days there all high revvers. My car falls on its face up high not to mention the annoying thing with it not running in 4th under WOT the computer kicks it down to 3rd.

The spec-v's are around mid to low 15 second cars with your average driver behind the wheel.

Well thats because of the smaller dispacement. Non of the japanese imports make a large displacement v8 to speak of. The few that even make a V8 put them in rather bulky suv's or (nissan i think it is that has the 5.6 340 or more ftlbs v8 powered pickup) trucks that it doesn't matter. The quest for better mpg has lead to the loss of torque. anyway back on topic, ya the g35s are quik (it is built on the 350z platform with basically the same engine that is claimed to be about 30 hp less, but i doubt it) and at 28k starting with room for four its not abad deal if you got a family and want some go fast. wouldn't mind one, but only if i couldn't afford the Z. (seen so many in black and can you say badazz!, ooh ya. Then again a nice 350 Iroc or Z in black still looks better, but ya know.)
