EDIT: As for the torque to weight ratio. Lets say the f body weighs 3500 pounds, which mine weighs 3,335, an L98 could have 345 tq. That puts it right around 10.1 pounds for every foot pound of tq. If the CRX weighs about 2,000 and has at best 110 tq he has about 18.1 pounds for every ft pounds of tq. Looks like the L98 has it there easily.

it might make a difference
only thing is I don't remember what the torque on a B16A is or the gearing that would go into the tranny but oh well
also B16a have been known to go well past just 15's
hell a 160hp motor was in a 2700lbs car hitting low 15's
think in a car that is 700lbs less it would do a little better then just the same time now wouldn't you??
if you don't agree don't remove weight from you car it would do no good

I know from personal experience. Friend of mine has the exact swap and has run a best of 14.6 with slicks and cams. He is only trapping around where a stock L98 traps too. That's not very impressive if you ask me. Factor in gearing all you want, but to get anywhere near the tq to weight ratio of an L98 with a b16 you would have to almost double the ratio. How would you do that in a fwd car, not to mention be streetable at the same time? The person I was referring to also has a special tranny too and he cruises at over 4,000 rpm on the highway and he has some tiny *** 14 inch low profile slicks that he runs at the track to even further lower his effective ratio. His best is still a 14.6 in the high 90 mph range. Not too impressive if you ask me. Didn't the B16 come in the SI civics and they run right around what an L03 does. BTW, he is selling his car and is considering a camaro of all cars, lol.
EDIT: Just thought of something funny. I let him drive my LT1 one day back from getting inspected because I had work and his first words out of his mouth were "man your car just goes when you press the gas." He considered another friend's B18 GSR which I believe has 130 lb feet of tq to be "torquey." B16 is not as great as people would like to believe. They run high 15's, low 16's in a civic and low 15's/high 14's at best in a crx. If you wanna go fast in 1 you need a power adder.

think it was the last generation civics with a good driver were able to pull a mid 15 out of them with the 160hp they had
this is from both experience and listening to others, and think I have seen them in a few mag test as well
find it hard to believe that a CRX running much less weight would only pull that time
but who knows there are always variable such as weather, track, DRIVER, and such
but he should have done bettter then a 14.6 i would think
