tonight i caught a couple of nice cars out on the streets as i was cruising for a few races in my area.i jus recently bought this 86 t/a and it has a 305 with a eldebrock intake on it.finally i got the first chance to take the car for a drive legally since i bought it.after driving around for about 2 hrs and about to give up on catching a car willing to go im cruising back home and on my way i see a red gta turning down the main street as i drove right by him.so what do i do.. i sped my way up to the next street i could,pulled a u turn and bolted to try and find the guy lol.as i came back to where i saw him i took a guess at which way he went and kept going further on the main street.6 lights later i see him further ahead about to approach a one lane construction zone.i got right on his *** to see if i cud hear his exhuast and figure out how modded he might be but he didnt sound too mean. i trailed him for 4 major lights before we got back to 2 lane roads and then he guns it infront of me a lil as i pull up beside him i roll the windows down and proceeded to say nice car.before i could say nice he jams on the breaks and gets behind me lol.. bastard.so i stopped at a light and the peeled out and he was there right behind doing the same.then he lined up against me and said u must have a 305.sadly i said yes i do and its stock except for the intake.he yelled out that he has a bone stock 350 tpi and wud like to see me run on 3.1 2 3 and we punch it.through first i was almost half a car behind.. then second was a carlength and a bumper... third... well i was still in third and lets just say he prolly hit fourth already lol..third he had 2 cars on me for sure and then we shut down.after that i pulled up to him and he said that my car was impressive for a 305 compared to others he had killed and anytime i wanna go for a cruise to pick on imports to call him up.we exchanged numbers and continued on.funny enough we both went past our destinations and had to turn back around and was we came to a light there was this hot white girl flaggin us down sayin she loves our cars.naturally we both had to peel out leaving our signature marks behind laughing.but i had fun and im glad the other driver let me run my lil 305 and compliment its not bad for what it is.i gotta say after that i saw 3 more firebirds and 1 more gta and everyone except for the last car was super nice and willing to talk about their cars and enjoy what we own,the kid driving the last car,a black gta was a totall ***. he found me and wanted to race ntill i mentioned i had a 305 he proceeded to say a few choice words about racing slower cars and turned around and sped off.

 

yeah some guys are just asshats man ...lol...they are the ones that end up getting smoked by someone that they least expect to also but it sounds like you had a good night after all even thou you got beat ...

yea it was a crzy and fun night near the very end.i do agree that ppl like that guy .. when he gets his *** handed to him by a civic or something he wont see coming.he will learn that things arent always as they seem. i like to race for fun if i feel its safe enough to,where i wont get caught lol.ill race any car willing to go even if i will lose.but i cant wait to drop in my 350 tpi motor and then rechallenge that red gta.. or find the dumb *** and show him a thing or 2.im buying a 350 tpi motor frm my boss thats sitting nicely in his office on a stand waiting for a home . his engine builder made the motor for torque because of the weight of his 80 cutlass has from a stereo system.but he never put it in so im gonna take it off his hands and maybe add a turbo to it so i can keep up with his corvette.

yup no lie.the system in the back of that 80 cutlass weighs the car down like mad.what do you expect when the car has 8 12' subs in the rear seats fibreglassed,and a full fibreglass trunk where 6 amps are sitting lol.although the car has a 350 in it now which puts out 300 horse it needs more to haul ***.. unless he takes the stereo back out but no fun in that
