I gotta start racing!!!

as soon as i get my charging problem worked out i realize the cooler denser air is coming soon and i need to start raping some imports......but im too scared!!!! a lot of people around my town know my car and love it, think its the quickest thing on the block. its damn fast for a 305 but with my system and chrome rims im setup for humiliation. i never race anyone on the street anyway (mainly because im afraid to loose my good rep here ) but i think its time i "break" in this engine while im building my 383. any other thoughts?

my mods are as follows for the 305:
home made cold air
headers and 3" mandrel exhaust, no cat
underdrive pulleys
k&n's on the way

thats about the only stuff that means anything and i cant wait to see what i can actually do.

but the reason i brought up the thread was to see what everyone thought for this race...my car now vs. my buddys 1996 vtec prelude special edition, header, cai, fart pipe LoL and a carbon fiber hood for weight reduction. his car came 160hp stock so say 170 as it is now and ive driven it...it feels damn quick!!!!! why do those cars feel so much quicker than ours even though they may not be? he chirped 4th gear with my riding with him, i sure cant so that

Im thinking that you will probably take the prelude, as long as you hit the gears right.

there is a guy here with a prelude that runs 15.1 I raced him in my S-10 with no spray and he walked all over me. Then i got on the bottle and when i raced him all he saw was my tails. Point being is that this guy has the same mods. They are quick. They respond VERY well to bolt ons.

Yeah the preludes are pretty quick, especially if its the smaller body style(I think second gen, I dont know hondas) They are good for low 15's. But your car is good for high 14's stock with the speed density setup and the T-5. I wouldnt be surprised at all if you were running mid 14's right now with your mods. You got just about the best 305tpi you can get(besides the G92 option). So you have a good chance at beating him. I think its a little to close to call. Sounds like a drivers race. Good Luck. And remember just to have fun and dont worry about losing. It just gives you an excuse for more mods.
