Another kill for tonight - Integra "Type R"
was driving around, looking for some good skate spots with mah friends, and this guy in a 97ish Integra "Type R" rolls his window down, gives the Maro a compliment, then slips the, "But I can take it" line, so i tell him to line up, unexpectedly, he pulls me off the line, maybe a bout my bumper to his quater panel, then i gain back my ground, get in front of him, and he tries, but doesnt take it, i win off by about 2-3 lenghts, but his like integra had mad torque

if he was racing a 383 against this teg and even though he only lost by 2-3 cars...
383 should be a little better then that I would think

I thoroughly despise anything containing the nature of an import, or r!cer, then i hate ppl who take an import, and put an american motor in it and call it pure american muscle

how many times have you pulled up next to a car thinking oh I can take it?
just being he is an import driver makes him no different then any of us who think that when we pull up next to the guy
it's not that oh he is import gotta stick up for him. just if he was able to hang that well he prolly had reason to think he might have taken it

but for the last one
pure american muscle in an import body that kinda stupid to say
but domestic engine ni import body isn't bad idea. light car strong motor is always good combo

yeah, if his integra ran well like that, then he may think it may be a fairly stock thirdgen and knows he can take a stock thirdgen. No excuses necessary for anyone. His 383 is fairly quick, like low-mid 13's?? IF that integra hung for alittle and lost by 2-3 cars, thats pretty good. He probably running high 13's and would have gotten my L98. No reason to nock on either person. Sorta like I am sticking up for the import guy, but give him some credit for what he thought he may be able to take. At least he gave you a thumbs up for the camaro.

When i read threw Muscle Car mags i see that they call the Ls1 Camaro "AMERICAN MUSCLE" whichis total Bull Sh*t cuz it wasnt built on the US soil, it was built in canada which makes it a import Where a 3rd gen was built in the US and that makes it American Muscle. Now i will admit theyre some parts that are built From Mexico that is on our third gens(due to its cheap) But when i see a 4th and 3rd gen. I see the 3rd gen more American Muscle. 3rd gen has the looks and it was built in the us. Sorry bein off topic

Did you ever finish high school? I seriously doubt it. If you are an American company, and you design a product, purchase all the materials, build a plant in another country, hire locals to work for your American company to build the product, then ship it back to America, how is that not an American product? Sounds like you are just jealous of the 4th gen Camaros to me. Either that or you stopped going to school after 7th grade and get all your information from your grandpa who lived his whole life on a farm or something.
Sorry everyone else, really, I am.

Surely any 383cid engine should completely destroy an Integra Type R. I'd have thought that it would need really serious modifications - possibly a turbo conversion to stay that close to a 383ci SBC.

Oh yeah, one other thing - I guess all of you in Canada with 3rdgens can call them imports - because technically they were imported...
