That should be ok. People have different opinions on this as some will say 500 and some will go as high as 1500. I'd say to change your oil if you haven't yet and go for it
I've built a few "race" engines for the street and I've never put anything over a couple hundred miles on them and never had a failure.

i think it'd be a very good, close race. If i lose, I'd have to blame it on the lame 2.73's
what do you guys think?

after a nice towing home...
UPDATE: Saturday night I walk out to my car after a hard days work, start her up, put her in gear, and it lurches forward. Grab reverse, goes backwards good and all. Go to grab overdrive, no resistence in the shifter, slides down to 1st.... snapped the shifter cable.
Pop the hood the next day, puddle of gas on the intake also
We sourced the leak to the fuel line o-ring on the secondary side. The whole secondary side plate deal was also about 3 ratchet turns loose
Tightened that, sopped up the gas, no more leaks but, haven't ran it since sat.
Picking up parts tomorrow before work, tackling the carb and cable problem this thursday...
wish me luck,
