Turboed Eclipse

I was making a left at a 2 left lane type intersection, lots of traffic. I am about the 3rd car back in my lane and theres more cars in the other than. I was just sitting there when i heard some car behind me rev there car. It was some stupid honda or something i couldnt see since they were behind me in the other lane, but something cought my attention, it was turboed. Made the left ( i was also crusing to my friends house with another friend, he was driving his Dodge Intrepid 3.5 family car, i was in my formula ) My friend and i pull up to the next light in the left and right lane with the middle one open hoping this guy would make it though traffic. Well he did. It was a 95-97 or whatever Eclipse ( the one from fast and the furious part 1 ) anyways he pulled up staring my down thinging he was all hard reving the HELL out of his fourbanger. so i figuered what the hell ill try it. I have always been iffy on racing turboed cars since its very easy to make em fast. Light changed all 3 of us took off. He peeled out a bunch ( which hinted to me its not the AWD one ) then he tried to hit 2nd and missed. So there goes a intrepid and a formula by him. We went to like 60mph and we both cut out, and he did the famous 4 banger Fly By doing 80, when you stopped racing at 50.

So the next light we get to the middle lane is taken dodge in the left and im behind the ecplise in the right. Light changed and we take off, but i have to half throttle it to stop myself from reaming this guys car. About halfway though the intersection i pass the truck to the left and punch it to get around the Eclipse. I catch up to him, but thats about it we end up being stuck dead freakin even. I was soooo sad that i couldnt pull on him. We got up to around 75 mph and i said screw it i dont want a ticket that bad and cut off. But the dumbass kept going, then once he saw me way in the back he did that dumb freaking hazard flash thing.

Anywho he made a right and i went strait didnt get to ask him what he had done even though i really didnt care to much. Anyone know how fast one of these would run? I know it wasnt complety stock, he had a louder Blowout Valve, and a stupid fart can as far as i could see, and he took off all the emblems so i couldnt get the make of it.

Thats one thing I never understood, why the hell take off the emblems for.

Id count it as a kill, lol, stupid hazard flashing i retarded, Ive had civics think they won just because i hit traffic and had to shut down, then they fly by... its retarded.

How could you count it as a kill if he couldn't even pass him?

You take the emblems off so people can't immediatly tell what trim level the car is. It's called a sleeper. Plus, it looks cleaner.

friends cousin had one with "stage II" turbo supposively good for 80 hp increase on GSX so that puts it about 290-300hp. Ran mid high 13's but he wasnt a good driver.

Want a sleeper Eclipse Turbo, buy the 95 GST...same wing as the GS, every year after that had the ricerish towering wing. A debadged 95 GST is exactly like the GS on the outside. I drove a 16G Eclipse last week, had lots of stuff done to it, thing was wierd. If you havn't driven a turbo'd 4 banger, go out and do it, it's an odd feeling.

But then it wouldn't be AWD silly.

They feel weird to you guys because the torque curve isn't as flat. I've driven an LS1 before when I was a lot tech and it felt pretty slow, even though it would have absolutely smoked the car I had at the time. It's because the torque curve is so flat, that the acceleration doesn't change all that much. I was used to driving a car that wouldn't do much until about 5,000rpm, turbo is even worse.

Just think of it as the difference between waking up normal, and waking up with a really bad hang over. With the hang over, you start out feeling pretty shi tty, but by the end of the day, you are feeling so much better that you feel great, even though you are technically less healthy than on any other average day.

I never said this was a kill. I couldnt pass him once i pulled up to him, which is when his turbo started spooling. Fart can, yes it had a huge one. I saw it when i was behind him at the 2nd light. I dont think it was stock because i have heard stock turboed cars and this one had a veruy loud valve on it. And he liked to rev it when he was stopped lol. I was more or less giving the car props since i couldnt pass him once we got going but the truth is if we were even at the start i would of walked off the line and he wouldnt of been able to catch up to me.

This is actually a unique way of putting it. How do you explain those days where lag never goes away and you never achieve full boost. I think those are call birthdays.
