It depends on the conditions and mods of all the cars. Right now there is no way to tell much...
Id say you have the best chance to beat them all, but then again we dont know what the truck has, how many mods are on the Golf, or even what trim level golf it is, and if either Honda has had an engine swap, lol! Could be some 12 second cars there, could all be 17s!

G92, was kinda like the performance option on TPI irocs,
better cam,
better exhaust, dual cats w/ N10 exhaust,
305's got Limited slips-3.45, 350's got limited slip 3.23
The 305 got the 350's cam and the 350 got a cam w/ a slightly larger lift.
This raised the LB9 to L98 standards, w/ 30 ft/lbs. less torque. Equal horsepower.
The LB9 also cam w/ a manual 5spd instead of the 4 spd. auto. standard on most 305's and "all" 350s(there were like 3 or 4 1LE's w/ 350's produced w/ 5spd. not avail to public or SCCA racers, if u find one w/ factory paper work its a gold mine).
Your car is running 3/4 of a second faster than my car stock.
No mods. 36,347.6miles, only changes are spark plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, stereo, windshield wiper blades and tires.

Iroc and Firebird data

you should run all of them pretty good, but i am not sure on that 302 truck. Gonna need some specs on that. Pretty sure you will run him unless he has some serious power like 350hp or so. you are mid high 14's now.

will do, should be a couple days, the kid w/ the civic backed out. im worried about the 302, it has dual 4"piping, and 1150cfm carb, intake. Some head work, and shortie style headers.
Got the kid, Skip, to give me his specs. Pretty truck.
The Golf i was lied to about, its a 92' typical **** and the kid got it two weeks ago so im guessing stock.
How fast are 88 Monte Carlo SS350's?

stu if hes running high 14's (the golf) he's mine, if its mid 14's it will be close, but i think early 90's imports mostly ran 17's right.

So this truck has 4" exhaust, and an 1150 cfm carb? Those are both extremely overkill and are hurting it more than helping it. If those are ported stock heads (who knows what year stock heads though) then the carba dn exhaust are really killing the trucks performance. Bigger is not always better. I would also like to see the shorty headers he got to go into a 4" exhaust. Would have to be 2" primary's and those again would be extremely overkill. Id say the truck isnt much to worry about as unless the owner is leaving out a lot of info, it sounds like he has no clue how to build a motor, or support it with the right bolt on parts! yeah those mods are for a car pushing 700hp+ at the wheels. LOL i doubt he is doing that without boost on a 302.

yeah i dont know, the kid w/ the Monte is really an idoit even on my standards. He said the car was given to him, and i know its auto. I would really have to cry if he pulls me, hes what you would call a honda boy, he wants a CRX, yeah real power there. The car is missing body panels has been in a few accidents, and has like 200,000 miles on it and he was telling us how its worth alot. I offered him 20bucks for the suspension. . There might very well be money in the motor. But i know he didn't do it. If anything was done it would have to be by his dad. Though it is strange that he would race me w/ a beater. And as for the 302 yeah its definite over kill but he calims about 360horse

All monte SS's from the factory where automatic. He sounds like he one thing right 88 SS's are quite rare hell all 4th Gen SS where! Heres some production numbers excludeing aero copues 1983,1984 and 1988 are the rarest years!
1983:4,714
1984:24,050
1985:35,484
1986:41,164
1987:33,199
1988:16,204
These cars in any condition are worth a pretty penny! Out of its 6 year run only 161067 SS's where made (includeing aerocopues) sorry for the history lesson lmfao

light weight and less power is fun. 12 seconds is 12 seconds no matter what car.
light weight car with that little power will still spin the tires off. thats what front wheel drive does when you got any kinda of hp.

what i find funny is how the WRX STI weighs as much as an Iroc and it definately has a wheelbase, body, motor and just about anything else except turbos.

STI's weigh 3200 and change. Irocs about 3300 and change, if u rip out all the accessories and a/c etc. u can weigh as much as them. And AWD isn't always the greatest, by me they are usually the guys who get hurt first. Car spins out of control cause idoit had his foot on the gas on icy road, while smart *** with rwd, has his foot on the clutch and is steering w/ the handbrake.

How are you going to run them when.....
Not to mention your mommy should still be holding the keys from you.
Just got my *** chewed
Yeh stole my own car, cousin came up from NC, i wanted to show him the car, left some rubber on the road, nice accomplishment since the roads are wet. Put the front end up in the air (not by much but still). I got caught cause i put the car in the garage backwards. ( no insurance, no plate and no inspection ) still had fun.

well, yeah, some people think that AWD means they wont lose control in any condition. They get over confident and end up messing up bad. It happens.
Any RWD car can be bad in the snow, especially one with some power and torque like TPI thirdgens.
But if you can drive good, snow is no problem. Me and my friend use to take his 89 GMC S15 truck (like an S10 for those who dont know LOL) out in snow storms just for fun. We had a blast!!! 2.5 liter four banger kicking the rear end out and doing donuts. All it had was studded tires. IT WAS 2WD only. Thing went pretty good in the snow, got stuck only few times but conditions were well beyond ground clearance of the truck! LOL
Those were the days.

i have my keys back, gonna go to a track (hopefully) theres a quater and a small 1/8 a few miles from me, and i took the car out this weekend, the nearest police station is 20 miles from me. And they are pathetic, cars are from the 80's, about a year ago the police station got robbed. They took there clothes, there guns and everything in lockup. lol I think for a 100+square mile radius there are ten or fifteen cops. That i have seen. Plus the roads by me suck so racing is a bitch in a half.
Stick to the backroads and u can generally avoid cops. Either way
even on the roads that are 45mph miost people drive 60-70.

no i iknow all wheel drive and 4x4 can tackle to road way better but people w/ these drive them like they are driving in the rain in the snow and ice. When i see the guys with rwd and fwd they drive a lot slower and generally wont take the car over 20mph

As far as AWD goes, maybe the idiots behind the wheel are the cause, but stick the same person in a RWD car and he will probably end up killing himself sooner, and if you stick the person driving cautiousely in the AWD car he will probably never crash or get stuck...
