Maybe he was going somewhere that required him to take a turn?
Really though some people aren't really "racing minded". It may have been a soccer mom that bought the car because she thinks it's pretty, who knows.

yeah i see alot of the soccer mom stuff but this was a guy about 25-30. and i even see alot of girls driving fbodys. and dont race or anything. i dont get it how does someone but a fbody or anykind of fast car and not race it?!!?! but at the light i stared at this guy in the z and he didnt even look over. i know he seen or atleast heard my car since its loud. i know he noticed it when the light changed and we moved up i went straight and he turned but i eased into 1st then punched it in first so i know he knew i was pissed cause he turned. i must have bad luck or good luck. good luck cause no racing=no trouble with cops but i want to race so it could also be bad luck. i had my car on the road since mid aug this year and still to this day havent got anyone to race me. and now i snowed today or its even worse. wait i had a race with a friend started at like 30mph but it was wet out and we punched it and i spun all over the place and he past me. but i wouldnt consider that a race. i mean i only went from 30 to 40 and the race was over.lol

well my engine is ok i hope for christmas i get some nitrous. my motor is ok it runs great except i need stiffer valve springs and fix a couple oil leaks and coolant leak. oil leaks at the screw on the pan and then at the point where the dip stick meets the block sprays out kind and smokes a little on the exhaust. then the coolant leaks from the sending unit. otherwise the motor runs great. i dont think any leak could rob me of power and the valve springs just make noise at crusing speed and i dont think that is taking much power away. i think i could have smoked him with a good launch to the 1/8th but then he would have flew past me at the 1/4.

looked at your car domain and it says..

Quarter Mile: 14.5 s @ 105 mph->

if you do 0-60 in 5 secs you would at least be pulling mid to low 13's with that trap speed the hp is right for about 14.5 but the weight is low i dotn mean to question you but what is done to your engine?? looks like intake carb stock manifolds anything else?

its ok i tell everyone its a 305 and i always beat my friends 305's but i havent raced a 350 yet but i rode in my friends truck with a 350 and im almost positive ill beat it. he also has same intake and carb as me. lol the kid who i bought my car from did all kinds of motor work that i dont know about. he told me my trans was a 350 and engine was a 350 but the trans has a pan from a 700r4 and the numbers on the block come back as a 305. but i dont know crap about the motor just the obvious parts on it.
its a long story but i stick to telling everyone its a 305 and its stock if i dont pop my hood. o yeah it sounds like a 350 also lol. cause at first i told everyone it was a 350 then i tryed to lie and say 305 and they where like it doesnt sound anything like a 305 liar. but then i ran the numbers and now i tell them i ran the numbers and its a 305 ill show them if they get me a computer with internet and a piece of aluminum foil

LS1 cars trap around 105, which is good for a low 13 second pass.
That, and a LG4 makes no where near 240hp.
I'm not going to touch the "fells like a 350" thing.
A v6 3800II 4th gen car would destory an LG4 v8. The earlier 3.4 would probably be pretty close.
The ls1 has over double the power of a lg4, and the lt1 a little less than double the power. Either way, you didn't intimidate anyone.
About not racing, some folks don't have anything to prove and did not buy f-bodies just to rag the crap out of them.

i dont know if you guys read everything. my car isnt stock!
i have that edelbrock performer package rated at 260hp so on that note i prolly have 220 or so hp at the wheels. the new camaros with the ls1 have what 330hp stock but that at the wheels its like what 270hp i know a 03 mach 1 has 320hp then when they are dyno'd they have 265hp at the wheels. its not that bad considering with a good launch and i get traction i can put up a halfway decent run. and my domain crap about times and everything i made up i never been to a track but im thinking it would be close to what i said. again i say it so no one post BS about my car. the motor was worked on/built up. mildly ported heads, perfomer intake, perfomer 600cfm carb, rebuilt trans with shift kit, 3.73's out back in the rear end, edelbrock cam with lifters.o yeah i have header that still need to be put one sitting in my room. so right now i would guess and say i have 220 at the wheels. not as much as a ls1 but i like it since i paid only whats that i said it $500 for the car. what did these ls1 people pay 10g's? 15g's?
so i would say i got a great deal considering the body is in pretty good shape and the interior is almost perfect. just one cig burn on back seat everything else clean like new.
i have ran the car down a marked 1/4 road i didnt time myself but my spedo goes to 85 and i was just past that so i would guess my speed was 95-100 in the QM i dont know what time tho. maybe 14.5 maybe 15 flat i dont know. its not BS

If he didn't have somewhere else to go, he probably didn't run you because you're in an 84 Camaro. For the most part, a waste of his time. The reputation of these cars in the street performance crowd isn't that stellar

I can tell already that this one is on its way to being locked. I will have to agree with the people above and say
For a couple reasons:
You obviously dont know anything about cars, period. If the numbers say 305, its a 305. Plain and simple. You cant bore a 305 to a 350.
A 700r4 has 4 gears, a 350 has 3. A 350 pan will not fit on a 700 or vice versa. a 350 pan looks like a rectangle with a corner cut off, a 700 is a rectangle.
I doubt you have the driving skills to make a difference vs. an LS1. Simple fact is, you probably have <200 at the wheels, and would get horribly spanked.

came back as a 305 but it runs like a 350 so maybe it got bored out and i dont know it.
he told me my trans was a 350......... the trans has a pan from a 700r4

ive never seen an ls1 make less than 290hp to the wheels. and i wouldnt trust your "a$$ dyno" to give you an accurate hp reading. i would come run you , but i dont have enough thrust to propell me to the moon. besides, why go to the "dark side of the moon" to run a "305 that sounds like a 350" when every 16yr old kid has one anyway. i have people ask me if my car is a 305 all the time. i say "yes, i just have a 350 exhasut on it"
. they always look at the 4in mufflex and go"i bet you lost all your low end torque with that big pipe" yeah sure, i just happened to make peak tq at 2000rpm, i guess they mean below 2000. !!!!! amazing, and to think obeseity is also on the rise............

obesity is on the rise from all these people eating fast food. i have a 3in exhaust it doesnt make me have less tq. how about i just say this. my 305 is slow but is faster then any stock 305. or a badly tuned 350. is that better i think people will like the way i put that better.
EDIT: a stock ls1 has at the crank like 320hp. well to get rwhp you subtrack %20 of that and you get the rwhp. which is prolly like not much more then 275hp
EDIT AGAIN: my car with its parts is said to have 260hp, i believe that is at the crank so minus %20 is prolly like 220hp at the wheels

You need to get casting numbers off of your motor to tell what it is. It takes 1 minute of work and you will know for sure. Heads and cammed 305's can only barely run woth stock M6 cars. Run with an LS1, laughable. An LS1 makes 350 at the crank and puts between 290 and 320 at the wheels. GM horribly underated them. Stock M6 LT1 cars put down around 260.
