Me and a few of my F-body buddies went out for a good cruise tonight. At the end of the night, we are on a 4 wide straightaway across a huge bridge. Chris has a 90 IROC-Z 'Vert 305TPI, 700R4, 10 bolt posi (stocker) and its a pretty clean ride. We go from a roll and I play with him, leaving it in 3rd gear....with 2.73's at around 45mph, its only 2200RPM or so, way out of my powerband. We go on 3rd ohnk and he floors it and starts pulling away....hes all smiling, ready to crap his pants...then I hit 3000rpm and start pulling up and then once I hit 4000rpm or so I just start walking away from him. I leto ut aorund 120 or so and have numerous car lengths on him. i kick it into 5th and slow back down to 65mph and cruise....he gets back beside me, this time on my passenger side and and this time its a straight away. I figure if he wants to run, im going to see if hes ready or not. we go on 3rd honk and I get deep into 2nd gear and go for 3rd but I forgot my seat was a little too far back and i missed 3rd pretty bad....I slipped it into 3rd gear and quickly started gaining my 1.5 cars back...around 110mph I let out as I already had a car back on him and thorw it into 5th. then we get on 65 and make ANOTHER run and this time we slow down to 30mph and go and I just wlak away from him pretty bad, he was waaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back there.

All in all a good night last night....off al lthe cars its the only one I could beat. Hodges 87 IROC has a 383 and runs mid 12s and well, consdering theres a 2nd gen that can nearly pull the wheels and then those dman LS1 4th gens.....I had to run this dude, I wasnt dumb enough to race the LS1's and the 2nd and 3rd Gen.....yet
