Explain this

This dude claims stock heads cam and intake but look at the ET.......description doesnt say much more

I am thinking he forgot to mention his laughing gas bottle in the trunk.

EDIT: I suggest using Internet Explorer, netscape and firefox got issues with this website.

that sounds like the guy from the thread in the TPI board saying he went low low 13's with stock TPI/heads/cam etc.... i think its the same guy.

i wish it would say the trap speed. that can tell all. its very possible to go that quick on TPI L98's. a strong running condition L98 with supporting mods is very capable of running solid 13's.

i am doing 13.8's with just headers/exhaust and 2.77 gears on 2800stall converter. i do believe i am close to mid 13's with gears and stickier tires. throw in some chip tuning and maybe a fuel pressure regulator and very possible to squeeze out enough power to go low low 13's. but your trap speed wont be much over 99-100mph. thats about it. mine is almost 97mph

For a 350 TPI, low 13's are possible with worked stock heads, sticky tires, gears, headers/exhaust, and a good torque converter.

I had trouble viewing the video as I do no have broadband. But from the audio I believe the car ran a 13.15.

my car makes enough power on motor to run 102mph 1/4 with 3370lbs. if i had a stock cam id loose and average of 3whp(i have a factory lt4 cam). i think it is very much possible. if i had long tubes a 3200 converter, a tb, maybe a set of runners and a fresh short block i think i could easily duplicate this. i made 229whp and ran a 13.72. i make 40whp more now and weigh 300lbs less with more suspension and a bigger converter. i dont doubt the reality of this video.

I dont doubt the video i was just wondering how somebody could get low 13's with stock heads, cam, and intake on a TPI. I am sure he just didnt mention his suspension mods and tranny upgrade, gearing and all that he must have done to it

not an fbody, but my old 89' Vette went 13.16 at 103.79 with only drag radials, a 2500 stall converter, a catback, and front ypipe. i had all the little things done too like AFPR, K&N filter, airfoil, etc. but the car was stock heads, cam, intake, and everything... no headers even

again, though, it was a Corvette. the heads, factory calibration and weight were different over an fbody. theres a guy on www.corvetteforum.com running mid 12s at 108mph with a stock L98 with ONLY boltons. simply amazing

yeah i hope with a superram or fully upgrade TPI setup, gears, AFPR, and some stickier drag radials, i hope to hit low 13's at 100 or so.
