This really has nothing to do with my 3rd gen but it was the most exciting thing to happen to me with cars in a while so i thought id post it anyways. I was at a ford dealership today to look at the new mustang or see if they could get me a 99-04 gt at decent price(im not biased towards chevy or ford i think the whole thing is pointless), told them id take a cobra or mach 1 if it came down to it . the salesman turned out to be the son of the owner and he was only like 20 so we were sitting in a new mustang talking different things i could do to get one, couldnt drive it though cause i guess the owner only wants people that are already qualified to get one to drive them. So were walking back into the dealership and there is this silver Audi TT Quattro that he points out, nice car, 18" wheels, guy pops the hood and instead of one theres TWO turbo's staring at me in the face. I was like yeah 35k hes like no 17, i almost had a heart attack. I really wasnt even interested in test driving it i asked him if hed driven and he thought i asked to take it for a ride so hes like yeah ill get the keys. So were leaving the dealer parking lot, first thing i notice is at half throttle leaving the lot this thing pegs 7 grand like it was its job and hits 90 in third like nothing, so after my 25 minute drive were coming back and im sitting at a red light and these thug wannabes come pulling up in a V6 mustang i dont even pay attention cause people like that **** me off but then he throws me a rev, light turns green and he takes off at WOT im just like um ok sitting there take off slow shift into 2nd and nail it hes already like 2 cars ahead i pass him in second then just sit there staring at him as im at his side kind of nudging on the gas to keep it going forward i let off the gass so hed go move up a little in front of me then i shift into 3rd and punch again and keep going. Oh yeah and to finish the story like everybody elses there was a beautiful blonde girl in the passenger seat that winked at me and blew me a kiss YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH So if anyone sees these cars anywhere I would watch out cause this was a badass little ride

 

0-60 is about 6.25 seconds and they make 240hp with a high 14/low 15 second 1/4. I am not too afraid. You should have test drove a 3rd gen so that this thread would have stayed alive.
