7s in the 1/4....i'm gonna pro charge the **** out of that LS1. There's an issue of hot rod that's got a T/A with the LS1 running 7s. The T/A was procharged...and I'm sure a lot more than just that. As soon as I find the article again I'll scan it and show you. The funniest part- throw the radials back on and the T/A was street legal. Now that's what I want. A street legal 7 seconds. And hopefully by summer I'll have it. that's what....6 mths from now....

not to rain on your parade, but 7's? Good luck. Nice car, but there are there even any LS1's breaking 9 or 10's? Most incredible street car I've ever seen was a Mustang and it was running a 1/4 in 8.9

Didn't you read his post? There is an LS1 in a magazine that's running 7's. Everyone knows that if it's in a magazine, it's because it's common, and just about everyone can do it. Especially in only six months time!

Wait, did that guy just claim that Shawn Nelson's (sickness91z) Z-28 in his repeatedly attached picture was his? I don't know too many other '91 Z-28s with TT2s, an SS hood and fender vents, do you? Not cool.

no, it's not nelson's car, and if you review some of my other posts you'll see where I installed the TT2s. Shawn just has damn good taste. Also notice that the bowtie on the front of shawn's car is white- not red. I planned on the tt2s when i had my rs, then i traded it in on a Z and got the rims for it instead. Everything i did to the z i was planning to do to my RS- cos i was converting it into an LT1 Z. but i found the z with a decent trade on the RS, so it put me a little closer. less work speeds up the process. And where the hell do you see fender vents? I will howver admit the shawn's car did inspire me the first time i saw it a few months back, so I'm sorry if they look the same.

May 2005 issue of Hot Rod pg. 38

to Quote the article- " A lot of ppl were gunning for it, but Ronnie Duke of Hardcore Motorsports (weracehardcore.com) drew fastest when his procharger blown 02 Trans Am became the first LS1 powered car to break the 7 second barrier in the quarter mile. He ran 7.94 at 176.53 mph at Brandenton Motorsports Park on Jan. 19 and backed it up with a 7.96 the next day. According to Hardcore, that makes it the quickest LS1 powered street legal car in the world. The Trans Am had run 8.11 in December, so the team basically rebuilt the whole thing in four weeks, redoing the rollcage, engine, transmission (it's a hughes powerglide), rearend, and intercooler set up.-Rob Kinman "

There it is, now KMA.

P.S. would've posted the article, but the file was too big, and the wrong type.

Right now I'm going to UTI. I'll be done in Jan. with that knowledge and the fact hat it's been done before- which means it's completely possible- I'll get it done. Maybe not in 6 mths. but eventually it'll be. I'll probably need 6 mths just for research.
So i was naive in saying i'd do it in 6 mths. maybe by Next summer, not this coming one. so there, just wait and see.
