through third gear? Doubtful..... A guy in my town raced me from 15 30 and i won with a l03 camaro after that i gave up. Basically all that proved was the fact that i can hook at 15-30mph better than him but, i'll take it....
He passed me while i was at full throttle later down the road at around 1/2 throttle in his car though so being as big and heavy as they are i gave him mad props.

i ran one a 2005 on a visit to the track about 5miles before we got there lol. he pulled about 2-3 cars on me from 0-100. when we got to the track he ran a 13.6?@103. he also had intake and exhaust. i dunno i think arizona's sucky gas and air the problem with times.

i didn't say i beat him lol, i said i won from 15-30mph then i pretty much gave up lol. He woulda killed me with ease as i stated. It was either a sloppy driver or someone who was slipping the clutch. All i know is he was wound out like crazy..... Definetly had his matted when i did. He had been trying to race me multiple times so i figured what the heck. Great low 1st gear in the 700r4 kept me ahead for about 10-15 mph lol.

They should run the same times, if not a little better, than a M6 LS1 f-body. That means 106mph traps and low 13's should be the norm. However, like all Gen III and IV motors they scream with mods. I am such a fan of the new GTO's.

And the temps were similar to last year's GTO test, just under 90 degrees.
I am pretty sure in 60 degree weather a high 12's would be possible. Put some radials on that thing

In this january's gm high tech performance ran a bone stock ls2 05 gto with factory tune and factory tires with a 100 shot and ran it against a 2001 t/a with airlid, maf, full exhaust, f.a.s.t. intake and a 125 shot. The gto ran a 12.52 at 114.08 and the t/a ran a 12.85 at 117.04. Hope this helps those ls2's really scream in that gto imagine one of those in our cars

We had a couple nice days, several weeks back and I happened upon a '04 GTO. He was making a right so I followed. As I pulled along side, he got into it so I followed suite. We were side by side until around 60 MPH. I was coming up on traffic in my lane and had to back off. He continued on to 90 or so. I caught up to him at the next light to see what mods he had and found out it was a M6 car with long tubes and Corsa cat-back. Turns out the guy works for Corsa and also has a low mileage '91 Camaro B4C/1LE. Good thing we weren't on the highway... I would have been owned bad!!! The combination of long tubes and Corsa cat-back sounded pretty damn good too!

Blu91Z28, I read the mods on your car domain page. I think you would see some pretty good gains by getting some good high flow runners along with a less restrictive intake manifold. You may even see a low 13. I pretty much have a full bolton 89 350 that runs 13.5's. Since your car is a 91 it is faster to begin with.

04 goats have same power as the Ls1 fbodies but are significantly heavier... 200lbs more
they only trap 103 up to 105 in the cold. mid lower 13's if you can control the wheel hop. higher 13's for mediocre drivers

I saw a couple of them run up here at our track and the drivers had to put some major abuse to the T-56 in order to row dem goats into the high 13's...5800ft elev. respects no car.

Ya, The L98 engine is a really good engine when you get the restrictive stock bolt ons off. I usually keep the rep up around here. Ive beated two 99-04 GTs, an LT1 car, and a 300C. Going to try a 95 Vette soon. Going to need a little luck though lol

for what it's worth........
2 weeks ago i was out looking around and ran accross what i think was a new gto (it was a gto just don't know if it was new)with dealer tags on the car. after watchin whoever was driving pull away pretty hard from a stop light passing other cars i figured why not and managed to get to it at the next light.
(it was dark and that is why i can't give you all the details)
anyway the light turns green just about the time i get stopped so i started to roll matching the speed of the gto which was acclerating pretty hard put no where near full on.
next, i see the gto front end start to jump up BIG time so i dropped the hammer on the ol' girl and started pulling away. don't get me wrong it wasn't all that easy.
anway this was for about a block from about 10 to about 50(?). from some of the other stuff i have run the car was pretty darn fast. would have been fun to line up "for real" and see how it went but they seem to loose interest after that. i figured they were probably wondering what was wrong with the car. i've been chucklin about it and wondering if they took it back to the dealer the next day to have it checked out.
we all know 3rd gens are suppose to be easy. especially when the look bone stock.

The very first pass with mine at 600 miles was a wheel hopping 13.6@103. After a few more trips to the track and about another 600 miles, I got that down to 13.25@105 still on a crappy 1.95. Stock tires are terrible, remind me of gatorbacks. Had I not started modding after that, I know I could've gotten a 13.1x out of my stock GTO. There have been others to get 13.1 also.
There have been bone stock '05's in the 12's also. Very hard with the stock brick tires. The ones with drag radials only are doing 12.6-.7. Not too shabby for a stock car with tires.
They are very capable cars. They do handle quite well for the weight, about as good as a F-Body but not a WS6 or 1LE car.
