Hey guys I was wonderin if anyone could geusstimate what my car could run in the quarter? It has a GM350, 290HP, crate motor with my stock TPI setup on top. It has the tb bypass and an airfoil and thats it. I have the 3.42 gears too. Can I hit 13's?

Stock intake on it? I dunno. What kind of exhaust do you have? You probably would hit 13s with the new heads/valvetrain if you've got a decent exhaust.
Thats my next step is exhaust cause its still stock. I think I'm gonna get a cat back. Is it true that headers leak a lot? My intake is all stock which sucks I know but I'm hopin by the end of summer to have a good exhaust. I just don't want to be embaressing myself. It definitally is quick but still not fast. Thanx for the input.
no, headers do not leak unless you install them wrong...just take your time when you putting them in and use good gaskets.
that motor is making just alittle more power than a stock l98, so i hope it'll go into the 13's, cause stock l98 hit 13's without too many mods (normally)

Well, that is *only* 230hp to the ground...

Yeah I know but I'll be happy if it can at least touch 13's for now. Hopefully it'll be a lot better later this year. Thanks though for the input.

probably a few tenths faster than a stock L98. You aren't making much more power (if any) than one.
Remember that 290 was probably made with long tube headers, no accessories and a really good carb..

Agreed. I would say you are right on par with an L98. The GM replacement crates are, as mentioned above, rated without accessories and with long tube headers. Assuming you have the proper tune I would say you are making a solid 250hp.

I would say mid to low 14s, but like everyone said, put a good exaust on it and maybe raise you FP to about 45/46lbs and it should be no problem, if you can get it to hook. The guy to talk to about that is MW66NOVA......LOL. He really makes that 305 digggg.
Yeah I only have my fp set at 40psi cause I got some 24lbs injectors with the motor. And I am just finnally getting my prom tuned. Hopefully that will open it up some more.

Its still o.k. to raise you FP to 45/46lbs you will get a better spray pattern with the injectors and you will feel a difference with the BUTT DYNO.
