acura nsx

I wish I could say i killed this NSX in my third gen but i happened to be driving my brothers 98 trans am home. I came to a light about 5 min from my house like i do everyday, and here comes the local rich kid in a black NSX. so naturally he throws some revs at me laughin with his girlfriend at the fact that i'm in a trans am and not a NSX. well guess what, as soon as the light turned we smashed on'em and i ran on that NSX like it was chained to the boat it was shipped over on. guess with all the money spent on that car he at least got a hot chick, to bad he didnt get any *****.

nice kill, a 98 Z28 would walk a NSX pretty decently, even more if he couldnt drive, which from the sound of it he couldnt

well they are set up more for handling and braking, which they do very well.

thought for the first few years they stayed in the 14's but after that they managed to get fairly well into the 13's?

most are in teh low 13's that i have talked to, and they are all top end, so unless you are running him from 70-150 they arn't going to be to fast.

My uncle has an triple black '05 NSX. Thing is freaking BADASS!!! He has some kind of japenese exhaust on it, as well as an intake, and i think he has aftermarket wheels. For the amount of money you spend on that car, its not that fast, and you can easily get a MUCH faster car for your money. Thing is, you don't buy an NSX to have the fastest car. You buy that to have [usually] the only one around, get alot of attention, and to just enjoy the damn thing.

Let me tell you, when you have the targa off in one of those and you let that thing climb in the RPMs til about 8-9k and here it, its heaven. And like the other guy said, they're more for handling (mid engine) and braking than they are for accelerating. I just hate how people rag on NSX's who have no experience with them at all. They really are amazing cars, but not everyone cars about 1/4 mile times.

And despite the low engine ratings (290 or 300 HP? and not much torque) they really do get up and go. I mean how many cars with that "little" HP and virtually no torque run 4.9-5.0 second 0-60's and 13 second 1/4 miles. --Not many. Probably only a lotus elise or something.

An NSX is not a drag car (as many sports cars aren't) but will work over any stock camaro on a road course. This was a good race (not many people get the chance to run a semi-exotic car) but it lacks a 3rd gen.
