thirdgen vs thirdgen
well heres the scoop, ive been helping my bud put back together his sport coupe. heres what we did
Bout a 400 sbc. It's been rebuilt with 8.5:1 compression, ported 882 heads 76cc 1.9x, 1.6x valves, small cam, .455/.455 lift, ported stock 305 4bl intake with the stock quadrajet. trans is a 700r4, 3.23 posi.
Obviously it's not going to be a rocket, but what kinda power do you think it will make? Do you think its faster than my basic bolt on L98.
His setup isn't for optimum power yet, hes just putting it together so it runs. After a few paychecks hes going to go full manual choke holley 670, edel super victor. Eventually heads, but they are pricey.

Axle/Gears: waiting on a new rear!!!!
I can't really make up my mind on who would win but I'd say he would win with a different intake and carb.

hmm.. sounds like a good race.
Deff when he gets some better heads/intake combo, hell run off and leave me. 64cc heads would put him round 9.5:1 compression and much more cfm at .400 lift up. L98 heads would work.
