89 T/A VS station wagon cutlass w/406

Ok so the station wagon cutlass is decked out w/ a 406 motor. the mods i think are 750 double pumper, high rise intake, not sure what performance cam it has. headers and true duel. and i think the rearend has 3.73 gears.auto with stall convertor.

and my trans am is a lil 305 lb9 blockw/tbi setup. edelbrock intake,bored TB,k&n open element,hooker headers,3"exhaust and 3.73 gears.t-56 tranny

so pretty much will i even have a chance?

Good luck on it, depending what kind of mods he has im sure it's enough to get the lb9... I remember when i used to take my Iroc to the philly street races, I got whomped by an astro van with a 406...But then again he said he was running high 12's in the quarter and I wasn't convinced and learned the hard way

Depends on how many kids are in the back seat, on the one hand, if 275lbs little Joey and his buddies are riding in the jump seat, he's gonna hook nice out of the hole, but the weights gonna hurt him in the long run.

In all seriousness, anybody willing to swap a 406 into a Wagon probably went far enough to make sure its got some *****. My money would be on soccer mom.

He will hammer you, really bad, assuming he has his stuff running right. He picked a good combiniation of parts -- good torque package, good rear gear, ect. Good luck, nothing wrong with trying.
