Its winter, lets hear some of last years best stories.
So, its winter, I haven't even seen my Camaro in over a month, I was thinking it would be fun to relive some of the best races we had the previous year. I'll kick it off with a fun one.
I was following a WRX with exhaust on a wet day though some city streets, we both kept reving, punching it off the line, etc. Finally we both make a left out onto a 4 lane road, he punches it, and I roll into the throttle, the car rotating under part throttle in first, I line out straight, were about side by side, then mat it as I'm going to second. Well, I break loose real hard, car goes sideways, and as I'm fighting with the wheel and accelerator to keep the power on and keep it straight I see the guys in the WRX, slack jawed as we're side by side. Finally hook up, and we stay pretty even until we both lift at about 60mph. We pull up to a light, the guy rolls down his window and says "Damn." I agree. We setup a second gear roll at 30mph, I pull him right from the start, staying a car up through 60mph and we lift again. We discussed more at the second light, the guy kept asking if I had spray. I kept trying explain its just a mild automatic 305, he couldn't believe his turbo awd car couldn't reel in a 20 year old mostly stock Camaro. I enjoyed the moment.
Now, everybody else, join in, lets here the good stories, awesome kills, etc.

I had two REALLY close races with a 95 LT1 and a WRX with an exhaust last year. I had the WRX by maybe 5 ft @70-75mph I believe. The LT1 was dead even and we let off at 65-70 mph. The close races are always the best. I'd rather have a neck and neck race than totally just blowing someone out of the water.

Love the close races, where you can watch the other guy through your side window the whole time. Of course, I don't mind watching through my rear view mirror some times either... Member

I saw a green eclipse just like the one off of the origional f&f and I was following him in the maro when we came up to a light. I threw him a rev with just the 80 series I used to have, I had my stock wheels then too, he look at me wide eyed and said "no way my nawz bottle is empty'' I busted out laughing and drove away

My '89 Formula LO3 automatic with B&M shift improver kit throttle body spacer and open air element, against my friends stock '85 or '86 auto TPI Corvette!!
45mph roll, we stayed pretty much dead even till about 90mph then I started pulling pretty decently. And we fly by a cop, who in turns radio's some other cops and we get pulled over by 7 cruisers and we actually got off quite lucky! Reckless Driving Racing tickets and are cars didn't get impounded, they clocked us at 106mph (in a 45 mph zone) he told us they weren't going to take our cars because we were military! 6 month license restriction, $547 in fines and 40 hours of community service
It was pretty scary!!!

Must have been embarassing for the vette, having the Lo3 hang with him.

Yeah I had a few tight ones, a 97 TA LT1 of my buddies, we were dead even until around 70-75 when he started to pull. Another one was a newer WRX from a red light. He just launched and did drop the clutch or anything, and I launched pretty good and got a jump until about 90-95 when he just barely was edgeing me out but that was a lot of fun though the guy was really cool too. I tried to race 2 IROCS around here that both looked stock besides pipes but no takers.
