pityful!

My Camaro has to be the slowest damn thing on the road today. 3.1L V6 lined up next to a mid 90's honda civic at a redlight last night and the kid was driving it like it a pretend race car or something so I decided to "smoke his ***" and teach him a lesson, so into neutral it goes I rev it up a few times to get his attention, he nods to let me know he knows whats going on, light turns green and I get freaking owned by a damned civic.
it was so pathetic I don't even want to go into detail about it but the sad thing about it was it was a stock civic no rims no custom paint no custom exhaust nothing, it looked like if his mom found out he drove her like that he'd be grounded for a week. but that little beat up bastard beat my car, off the line and down the road. I'm not bragging I'm freaking pissed my car is the only camaro to ever be beaten by a civic I think.

My RS has reached a new low!

Re: pityful!

well, the 3.1 is no powerhouse, and the camaro is very heavy, no surprise you lost. Just have to build it bigger and better, then smoke the ricers

Re: pityful!

yeah but it's freakin embarrassing that my car got waxed by a civic, so today I had my dad drive my buick century and I got in the RS and my 1990 buick century with 3300 motor and 228,xxx miles waxed me as well. screw this I'm getting the chassis right ASAP and dropping the ambulance engine in it.

You need two more cylinders and more cubic inches.

Re: pityful!

As I previously stated "screw this I'm putting the ambulance engine in it" 1972 Chevrolet G30 van converted with only at most 7K miles (and I have records to prove this) 4 bolt main crane engineering motor "as advertised" 350 cubic inches 412 ft.lbs. torque 400 H.P. TH 350 trans but I plan to install the exotic 9 bolt into this application.

All of this is very near in the future and I plan to retain any and all stand alone engine issues so as to where if I wanted to put this motor on a stand and do testing it would only be a few hour pull, test, and reinstall.

No fuel injection, no computers, totally old school build under hood of a new school ride!

Re: pityful!

yeah our cars stock are deffinitely not the kings of the street. i raced a 90's civic hatch that had only exhaust and intake in my 91 305 TBI firebird with open element and 160 thermostat and 8* advanced timing the other day. from a 40 we were about even until 3rd gear, then he would pull on me a little. when he got to fourth gear he had nothing left and i would pull on him and pass him. it was one of the closest races ive ever had but im disappointed that it was against a mostly stock civic.
