89 CRX Si
my friend just got an 89 Honda CRX Si and wants to race me in my 91 L03 Firebird. i know that these cars are much lighter and quicker up top than my car so if i race him it will be from a stop or nothing more than a 20 roll. This is his first car with a stick so he's prolly not gonna have enough time to learn how to really drive it right by the time we race. These are the specs on the cars:
89 Honda CRX Si 1.6L DOHC with VTEC, 5-speed, with intake, possibly a header, and a cat-back.
91 Firebird L03 auto, 160* stat, open element, 6* advance timing. other than that, stock.
I think i'll be able to take him down low but he'll be able to catch me once we get goin. we might not race for a while and i plan on gettin gears and a posi around christmas. how do ou think i'll do then?
thanks for any and all help guys.

He is gonna pull you back outa the hole and run you down. Seen it too many tiumes. The boat anchor in stock form is not enough to carry 350+ lbs anywhere quick enough to matter.

Re: 89 CRX Si
It is going to help you allot, but with anybody sporting a 305, i suggest a cheap 100-150 kit of nitrous till you get a 350 or whatever else floats your boat together. I hit a old 305 of mine with a 200 hit for a long time till it died due to a faulty fuel pump.
