94 302 lowerend with winser jr. heads ported and polished.75mm BBK Tb. Cobra lower ported and polished with a Downs box upper intake porter and polished 24 pound injecters. f303 cam,3.73 gears and a 5 speed.

Holley 650DP carb
Edelbrock performer RPM manifold
Custom grind Compcams retrofit Hyd. roller .585/.599lift 238*/248* duration @.050 113LSA
Crane Retrofit Lifters

World Products Sportsman II's ported and polished, angle milled, setup for roller cam with .700 lift
TH700R-4 tranny
Trans-go Shift kit
Red Neck performance 3200 Stall converter with anti ballooning plates
7.5" GM 10 bolt rear with 3.73 gears
4th gen aluminum driveshaft
Pete Jackson gear driven timing gears
Edelbrock electric fuel pump
12:1 compression
Engine dynoed 573hp to the flywheel.

I think your firebird with it's 406 will win . But the Mustang has a stick and my leave harder ? And the mustang is a lighter car ? Just don't race for money . He may have a spray kit then your done !

Nope no spray, I know the kid and he's afraid of n2o and cant afford a blower. I figured with my car being stripped down interior wise and having some suspension work I would have him by quite a bit. I have DR's he has street tires too.

I like the 406 SB Builds much more then the 383 SBs . They really make lots of power . And by no means am I a 5.0 Mustang fan . But with all this said . Them 5.0 Mustangs are no Joke They can get the job done .

I dont see a 300-325HP car knocking off something pushing 200more HP
