88 firebird vs 98 camaro

Ok people here is the situation. There is a friend who has this 98 ls1 camaro. He just dropped in a stock ls1 (now has 4,000 milles on it) and he has the usual bolt ons; fast intake 76mm, long tube headers, magnaflow cat back, new coil packs, new ignition.... the trany is stock/stock stall. Stock gears of which I'm not sure what they are. He has been asking about my firebird... Hey man where's the firebird? Whats up with the firebird? And you know what that means .... Its high noon gentlemen!! But here is what the firebird has going for it---> recently built 350 with stock bottom end besides forged je pistons, trickflow g1 head, 219 cam with 1.6 rr, non ported super ram, msd 6a/dissy/coil, edelbrock headers to a 3'' flowmaster cat back. Its got 245/45/17 gforce kdws along with a built 700r4 accompanied by a 2800 stall converter. The nine bolt still contains the stock 3.27s but I'm ready to replace them with 3.42 or 3.70s just haven't decided which one to go for yet.

So what do you guys think?? There could be some new drag slicks/new gears but thats all that would change in terms of my setup before we tangle.

Hope the bird can still hold its own .... any thoughts????

He got a 3 year warranty on a stock motor so those bolt ons are the maximum mods he could do while still retain the warranty.

More gear and stall on the LS1 car will make a huUUge difference. But without em id give the race to you. Basically its a stock car with exhaust(+LT's) and the fast intake. Should be a high 12 second ride no problem. ?

Yea I'm hoping some 3.42 would do it cause i know my present 3.27 aren't happening. It seems that it needs either 3.42 or 3.70 just debating which one would work better with my super ram/219 combo.
