me vs another turdgen.

ALright guys my mods are in my sig im hopefully going to be in the 420 rwhp and moree on the spray. Im gonna be facin a guy with similar mods, but a little less than what crazy me did. Only thing is is that he screwed up the camaro. It is fugly as hell. I think i cant take him if my car is working right, however im a little nervous. He has a 10 bolt supposedly wit ha th350.

Last i knew i thought th350's were good only to about 450hp....

Am I off. i got some pics of his car. HEs on dr's too, and im on my street tires that hook, but im on the 9 bolt.

I do not want to lose the worst looking camaro in the past decade

Race him motor vs motor... that's only way I see fit. We don't have enough info on the cars to know what could be the winner. Hell, I hoped for my 430ishWHP... ended up at 400, no idea without dyno'ing.

Re: me vs another turdgen.

Are those fourth gen bubble headlights on that thing? I thought that's what ruined the look of the Camaro. Why oh why would you ever switch TO them?

Re: me vs another turdgen.

I understand modding to some degree, but I really don't understand why you'd spend that much time and effort to mod a 3rd gen to look sort of like a 4th gen. Looking at where he is, wouldn't it have been far easier to start with a late model 4th gen?

And I guess individual tastes differ, but I personally only liked the Camaro when it had the "cut-out" headlight look of the 3rd gens and the early 4th gens. It sort of gives the car an aggressive glare. The bubble headlights make it look feminine to me.

Re: me vs another turdgen.

I've also noticed that the car has a lip spoiler as well as a tall spoiler. The headlights don't seem to really fit in their slots either. I'm sure there are people who think this style may look good, but I'm not even convinced there is any build quality to this car. I'll happily drive my rusty TBI over that thing any day. At least it looks respectable.

Re: me vs another turdgen.

IMO, the vacuum sec. carb is gonna kill your power on top.. get a mighty demon 750 and let the gas guzzlin and *** whoopin's begin..

honestly, i'm maybe at 400rwhp on a good day and if i'm on it like a bat out of hell, my street tires wont hook till about 70mph.. its like this little guy--> but its all black till 70

so if you think you can hook 420rwhp on street tires, youre an idiot.. (no offense) dont chance it.. get some DR's as well.. that way, if you want to take it to the track, you have the tires so you wont get frustrated that the car has no traction..

Re: me vs another turdgen.

No my goal is to not catch much traction till I get a ford 9 inch which could possibly be soon if i get my nova sold.

the motor was rebuilt during the winter and never been down the track yet.. times were from mid summer on a hurt motor.. hence the reason i rebuilt it.. right now, i'm about 400rwhp.. its the concept of no traction i'm tryin to address here.. its hard to hook with what i have so even more power will be harder.. but since you just said your not gonna try for max traction, then blah.. you still should be able to lay it down with the 9bolt..

Re: me vs another turdgen.

Well out of experience, do you think i could get some dr's and run it with the 9bolt? Im not looking for a dead hook.

So a hurt motor means you had less power??

Re: me vs another turdgen.

i never had a 9bolt nor have i had experience with a 10 bolt.. my 10 bolt broke my first run at the track on street tires so i went 9" after that.. IMO, i dont see why it wouldnt hold.. some people have been 1.5-1.6 60fts with both the 9 and 10 bolt..

and yes, hurt motor means less power.. something happened to my #3 cylinder.. it went from the normal 4.040" bore to almost 4.080" i lost over 30% of cranking compression.. also with the rebuild, i upped the compression and got a better quench distance.. so more power came from that as well..
