A loss and a win, check it out

Alright so the other day I was driving to a pizza place to get some free food from a friend and on the way I caught up to an 80's (fox body style) mercury capri. with the exception of the wide tires and the dual exhaust it was stock looking. ugly baby blue paint and the factory black hood. Well it just so happend that I was sittin next to him at a red light. he revved his engine and i returned. at green we launched. I have a quick take off, but I was no match for this beast. it walked me soo bad, made me look like i was sittin still. I talked to the guy then and he said it was TT with 700 hp lol.

later that night i was depressed because of the wooping, i had a new porsche pull up next to me. He was obnoxiously revving his engine and wanting to go. we met up at a light and agian we launched at green. I beat him off the line and pulled on him hard. once i shifted into 3rd he caught up a little distance. but we had already reached the next red light. I had about 3 lengths on him in about 2 normal blocks. so i was happy about that. the porsche was a cayman s.... looked it up that it has 295 or so hp. but it was still a new porsche that cost 60 grand lol

Doubt it's 700 hp, those arent very common, and if it's anything like my area, you would know about the 600-1000 hp cars running around. Losing to a faster car is not a bad thing though.

well I agree... i mean 700 is ALOT, but it was enormously faster so I just kinda laughed at myself and moved on lol. But i have to say it was prolly one of the fastest era ford/mercury cars in my immediate area.

A few of my good friends are tossing down low to mid 700s. You can tell as they are usually spinning through most gears at most RPMs. Its a site to see a MAch 1 walk a new GT500 while spinning the tires.

wow man ... that would be a site to see. I was just at a car show today at a place here in Chambersubrg called Gforce designs and concepts/Brooks performace. The Brooks part of the shop is all mustangs. They have ALOT of very nice ones. New and old and a few that are 69/70's that are getting new powerplants. One of the guys has a 90 Gt T that runs 9's np. crazy
