So there is this kid i see all the time driving his brand new Eclipse that his mommy bought him. (You know the type, wears his hat backwards with his $250 dollar sun glasses) Every time i pass him going the other way, he rev his trash up to about 6 grand and directs his farts at me. So one time i see him at the local gas station and i pull in and stop, wait for him to get done filling up his tokyo drift inspired economy car, then pull out to the light. he clearly knew what was going on as he continued to flick me off like he usually does. Light turns green, and so the story ends with me ahead by about 5 cars. man, i bet its gotta suck when your mouth is bigger than your motor.

(i dont know specs on the Eclipse, but im .30 over with some headwork and a streetable cam)

 

nice i have a similar story,me and my brother were at a gas station filling up when i hear the sound of walmart subs a few stalls down so i look and its the local ricers that go to my highschool so we hope in the camaro (my brother driving) and and as we drive by my brother yells out the window "****ING RICERS!!!!!!" as he slams the gas spining tires a few feet to the exit were we have to stop and wait for traffic at this time the group ricers hope in there car and fire up there fartcans and speed up real quick to get behide us when my brother (under estimating my car) hits the gas when turning the wheel to get into traffic and the wheels just spin as we do a complete 180 and take off goin the other way down the road and the ricers didnt fallow after that

 

haha thats cool man. Its always fun to tear their giant ***** egos into pieces. Even though the thick skull of most of them keeps them from converting to domestics. but whatever, i guess you cant win them all. they'd prolly end up just being domestic rice anyways. i guess thats not SO bad...

 

Yeah, thats my friends cavalier. I give him crap like you wouldnt believe. been trying to rip that can off of there for years now.

(btw, i took those walmart tips of my car. previous owner had them on there. 3 inch magnaflow now.)

 

I know it's a bit biased here but do they even like the sound that comes out of the back of those things? It sounds like a death rattle/Flu cough combined. Rarely have I heard a nice sounding import/domestic small motor with that coffee can on it. The only one I heard that sounded really nice was a late model v6 tiberon and it didnt' have the huge can's at the back but they were definately aftermarket.

 

I dont know. thats a good question. I just wonder why anyone would pay to have their car sound like a bowel movement.

had a friend who painted her eclipse pink (so i think to myself at least its not a *****) and she had a pretty decent sounding exhaust, it sounded really good until she revved it to about 4k(it wasn't a fart can lol). Then i saw her after Christmas and she had gone to the dark side, she put a turbo emblem (straight from autozone) on the back and spray painted the rims black.

 

I dont understand. isnt it embarassing when someone asks you if your car is ACTUALLY turbocharged? there must be some kind of unspoken law with ricers to never ask eachother about their stickers and badges, in fear of mutual embarassment.

 

somebody has to be the bottom of the food chain. they try to look fast to intimidate predators, and then the minivans win stop light drags against them, lol.

 

I have a similar story, theres this kid at my school with a mustard yellow protege5 covered in stickers and equipped with black rice rims and a fart can who goes around revving at everything with wheels (hes got a sticker for monster energy drink lol). So one day i see him coming out of a gas station and i turn out from a light and get beside him he trys to speed off and i hang just playing with him then he guns it and i awnser back and fly by him with ease. I was half thinking it wasn't all he had (i didn't know how slow those things were) so i let off the gas drop back as hes still trying to keep up, then i get on it again and just blow him away and pull up and wait at a red light giving my friend enough time to fly past him in his 77 trans am, we were out for a cruise and he wasn't gonna let me have all the fun(he said the guy missed a gear when he flew by him). So when he (finally) pulls up at the light (to embarase him more) i motion for him to roll his window down and go "wanna race"? all i got was a "Nah".

 

Haha thats cool man. Yes, most of them are slow..really slow. But some of them arnt to be underestimated. Ive seen some that were pretty quick. When i say "they" i mean ricers in general. And we are being pretty sterotypical...but, is it just me or does Monster selectively distribute stickers/swag to really cocky people?

 

woah thats weird why has it only locked the word r.i.c.e.r like half the time in this thread? Maybe im just crazy, lol the fart cans to make them sound as slow as they move (like a bowel movement ). Sense being part of that stereotype means driving something slow that looks like crap, id rather be a part of the one characterized by a ******* hair style.

Yea theres some fast ricers my bro had a 90 i think crx with no interior 8pt roll cage and a turbo. All stock internals on a d16 non vtec. like 18 psi ran 10.5 best time on slicks. That thing meant business. It was a striaght pipe 3" exhaust and sounded badass actully. Birght green paint with ghost flames lol. spun throught like every gear. Beat a new GTO at like half throttle lol.

 

id call that an import, to me rice is non-function and useless crap, and the lack of an good performance upgrades.

I guess dont have AS much of a problem with "Tuners" or whatever. But i still dont really like them. I just dont like when American people buy imported cars, its kinda that whole supporting your country issue. But if you buy a honda and your from china or where ever honda is made, then good for you. my cobalt sounds pretty good with the 4 banger, its still stock, and I love the way it sounds, because its quiet, and when you get on it, the turbo kicks in, and thats all you hear.. haha..

I haven't backed down, and haven't lost yet. the cars I'd wanna race, don't even wanna give me the time of the day, probably just because they think im some sort of a r!cer punk.. lol :\ oh well

It's only girls that drive ricers here. Like today, I came to a stop light, and there's these two girls in a Suzuki SX4 pull up next to me, light turns green and I just go normally. I hear this little crossover revving up and pass me. We come to the next red light and they are laughing at me like they won.
