first kill ever

ok this happend probley a month ago but i thought i would share the story of my first kill. ok so i was just driving around in my camaro on a normally busy 4 lane road at probley 11 or 11:30 at night and i get to a light and as im waiting this late 90's nissan 240 pulls up next to me and hes revin a little pit (not to much but enough for me to get the idea) so i did the same, and then the light when green and i stomped the gas and spun the wheels a few feet and flew up to the speed limt real quick when i noticed he was still just getin though the light so i say what ever and just cruise at 40 (sp limt) when he flew by me doin probley 55 60 at wot judging by how loud that turbo was so i punch the gas and 6 or 7 seconds later i was neck and neck with him at about 90 few seconds later i was about a car lenght ahead doin 100mph when i had to slow down and stop for a light and at the light the guy in the nissan just rolled his window up and took his free right and drove off but at this point my sister is in the passange seat screaming at me cause i didnt have a driver licenses wich i will admit made me really stupid for even doing the race but i didnt think about that cause i was just so happy and amazed that i won my first race and that it was against a newer 240 with a turbo (i thought they were fast cars)
i just thought id share that story

Re: first kill ever

Hmmm, so you didn't have your license on you or at all? i drove for a month without my license cause i had lost it, i also didn't have insurance , but it was either drive without it or see my GF every other week, and i couldn't have that.

I consider a race where you and the other guy both know you are going for it and either run by light, honk, or some signal. the light could have been a race but it almost sounds like he didn't race then, and when you ran him down there wasn't a signal, but either way it was a kill, i just wouldn't call it a race. Good job on lettin' the *****'s know you don't put up with their bullsh!t lol.

bad idea, to race on the road , going over double the speed limit , with no licence and street racing is a hevy ticket....very hevy..... keep the racing on the track so you dont reck. and hurt some one eles. uses common sence.

well i did have my permit. and befor people jump on me about racing with a learners permit i know it was stupid but i just couldn't help my self plus its not like i couldn't handle the car cause iv have had my permit and have been driving the car around for almost a year. and i figured it was a race cause we were at a red light and he reved his engine, maybe its just me but i think that means "hey lets race" and i reved back so i figure that is agreeing in the race and i figured since we were at a red light that it was logical to start the race on the green. and juding by the lack of respect for camaros around here i take him waiting so long aat the lightt as an insult (maybe he thought he would give me a head start??)

Re: first kill ever

Typical first kill story around here.
I'll say it the same way it usually goes on here...
Gald you had fun, but from now on take it to the track and get your license man, we don't need dead third gen'ers.

Re: first kill ever

I am a litle confused when someone says they can handle the car because they have had their permit for almost a year. I have been driving for almost 32 years now and consider myself a fairly safe driver. Did he just get of age and learn to drive or did he lose his license from a DWI, Massive tickets, etc.. etc..? I see alot of teenage drivers with their 1 year massive driving experience getting killed on our nations highways and streets. I agree that it is fun to play, but it should be left to a strip or controlled area. Many many years ago, I lost my license for 1 1/5 years for exceeding the city speed limit by 120mph.. Learned a hard lesson.. Cost me almost $12,000 in fines and impound fees. Luckily I didn't have to sit in Jail.

Re: first kill ever

BY no means am I a satint or anything, I've also learned the hard way , car accenet 5 points $500 ticket, court and cort fees, was going 86( but cop said 76 ) still speed limit was 50 in the dead of night with no one in site or so i thought, so just be carfull and not carless, take a performace driving class so if you do mess around at least you will be knowing what to do.

i wanst trying to say that i am a the best driver there is because im not i was just saying that i have been driving the car so i know how to keep it under control for the most part i was just saying that because when i first got my permit i went to drive my camaro and i could barely use the break and gas pedal without giving every one in the car whip lash lol so i was just saying i can hadle the car cause if people think i just got my permit am racing when i can hardly drive the dam thing i know people would be scared to ever go out on the road again lol. and yes i know keep it on the track and i plan on it and if i thougnt the road was to bad to race on i wouldnt have done it cause the road didnt have any side streets for people to pop out of and on coming traffic is separated by a big cement wall and the road was dead no one was on it

Re: first kill ever

His point was not that you cannot drive the car. The point was that you have been driving for a year of your life where lots of us have atleast 10 years driving time. 1 year of driving in no way makes you an expericanced driver. Also when you blow a tire at 90 are you sure you can still handle your car?
That is what people are talking about. Getting a car down the street and handling a panic situation are two entirely different things.
I would also venture to say that you really don't realize how little control you have over your car at those speeds.
