ive raced the vw once on back streets and we were dead close...who would win if it were a planned race or perhaps on track...???

???? how far did you race the first time? how far would you be racing on the strip? if were talking about an track with alot of corners, he's got you there if your car is stock being 1. his car is lighter 2. his is newer meaning typically he stuff is up to date when your stuff is degrading 3. he'll have much better brakes.

We need some info on both cars. For all we know its a pro mod VW and an offroad TA.

i raced him before on a run 30-70 we were dead close...but i was wondering on a quarter mile track ..drag race who would win..? this guy been getting on my nerves with his stock turbo car that he just paid for when i had to put my car together with my hands...lol

i got a tpi fuel injection with cold air intake system and full headers with 3" magnaflow exhaust ripped out the cat and ripped out the air pump and the ac system got posi drive train.700r4 trans ...his running a stock 1.8 ltr front wheel drive with a small stock turbo and all stock engine with stock exhaust..bone stock vw except he has a 6 speed trans...

as long as you can get traction quick, he's toast. i could see him getting you from an roll, but once again if you can get traction you good. Might want to invest in an set of sfc's and and really sticky pair of tires!

BTW what rear end ratio do you have? im hopping 3.23 or lower. also do you have an 3in aftermaket y-pipe? if not GET ONE!

also where do you have your cai located at? reason i ask is most cai's people do dont actually help them because there just sucking in hot air.

right now im running regular g-force tires ...and my posi is 3.23 and i have an aluminum drive shaft installed i got it for cheap. my y- pipe is 3" ...and i live in chicago area...but my car is in chicago suburbs...

So far it sounds like you have him covered. Not by much, but it doesn't take much to win either. Take it to the track see what happens.

what i ment about the cai (cold air intake) is WHERE in the engine bay is it located at?

oo lol sorry i thought something els....its located in passenger side same place the stock one was ..i redirected it there i thought it would be better the way they had the stock one
