GTECH HORSEPOWER

I'm just curious how this thing works and how accurate it is. I run the below car 1/4 in the mid 13's and usually at 105+, do 0-60 in 5.5 or less and I just did a horsepower reading with the GTECH for the first time. I input my weight at about 3450 with me in it and it said 203 hp. How can a car running those times only be putting 203hp. If I am correct I am supposed to hit it through a couple of gears up to redline and be accelerating hard. Is this right or am I doing something wrong. I just don't see how a car with that little power can run those times, thanks.

how did you run it when doing the dyno?
When I did it, I went 0-60 and at the time i was in the low 15's (on gtech) it said 192hp.
which sounded about right to me.
I thought the best way to do is to start at a slow roll and just bring it up through first and let off. but when we did that in my friends ranger, it got a dismal 60hp
and that thing definatly has more than 60hp.
we tryed it again with him shifting and it read 120hp. which was more reasonable with his ET's.

with you hitting 105mph, it should read ~280-290hp..

read the owners manual (i lost mine) and maybe it gives a procedure to get a more correct dyno reading.
