1978 Camaro, how fast?

Well after destroying this '73 Gremlin that talked a lot of trash (i know thats not a fast car but i have an LG4 so i was worried) there's a new guy at my work and he drives a '78 Camaro LT with a 305, bone-stock, do you think my '87 SC with lg4, open element air filter and such, and flowmaster catback and the engine is in good shape also, do you think i'd have a shot at this Camaro? Thanks for your help again guys.

You will probably take him. i think most 2nd gens were quite slow due to constrictive emmissions controls. i think their 350's had like 180 horsepower. i say go for it.
