97 Camaro RS vs 3rd gen!
Alright, my best friend was just bought a black 97 Camaro RS by his rents...gfx, t tops, 3.8 V6, auto. I have to admit, its one SWEET looking car, but the only reason he got one is cuz i have a maro. Anywayz, i drove his car and it doesnt feel like its that fast, the torque does feel a lil stronger tho. He knows nothing bout cars and f bodys and hasnt even looked under the hood yet! (kinda makes ya feel sorry for the maro, haha) He has also failed his liscense test twice! so to get to the question i want to know if i even have a chance beating him in my 2.8 V6 auto?...alright alright stop laughing
...really tho, i have performed all the free mods gutted cat, MAF, airbox..etc. and have new exhaust. what can i do to beat him besides buy a V8? Thats it! sorry if it was long, thanks!

Alright thats what i thought but what if i was to pick up a 3.4 and supercharge it? I ve been posting this idea on a couple sections of the board and no one has really given me much info. im thinking of taking a supercharger off a bonneville and hooking it up to a 3.4 what do you think?

The 4th gen RS camaros are atcually pretty damn fast. If you have the manual version it can pop 15 flat on the 1/4. The average I seen in the manual V6 models are like 15.3 or so. The automatics I think hit somewhere in the 16's.

My bud got a 97 V-6 camaro and that thing is pretty quick. In the hands of a good driver. I ran him a couple of times with my 92 Z 305 TPI auto and I beat him....barely. Of corse my car had 120,000 miles on it. Technology is coming fast.
