Iroc-z vs 2010 ss camaro...

Well I was at a car meet in the iroc with a ls1/t56. Pretty much stock 99 ls1 motor. The 2010 was all stock execpt for an exhaust. Anyways we ended up being dead even first and second and then I hit third and he started pulling. I actually got the jump and thought I pulled a little and was going to win but then that ls3 showed its real power and crept back up. From 20 to 130 he ended up having 1-1.5 car lengths. Not bad I think. Thought id win but maybe next time. Just means its time for some mods!

Re: Iroc-z vs 2010 ss camaro...

Yeah LS3 SS's are pretty quick. I got bolt ons on my 99 LS1 4th gen, auto 3200 stall/3.73's and I got pulled by a new SS from a 70mph roll. Wasnt quite an optimal speed for my car but close enough. He slowly crept by and would have my nose at his bumper by 100.

My car runs 12.2's at 110 mph on a good night. SS's usually trap 112 or so.

Re: Iroc-z vs 2010 ss camaro...

He isn't the best driver so maybe that's why I kinda kept up. After a few bolt ons I think it will then be a little more in favor of me

By exhaust you mean long tubes, or just mufflers
