I agree. Those cars are extremely fast right off the dealers lot, as in low 13s with good driver, and well even the best of ours need lotsa mods to come close to that.

But don't get me wrong, yours is still much more powerful than mine i'm sure. But an LS1 car is big game on the street.

92HeritageZ, here's a tip. The LS1 Camaro/Firebird makes almost 300 rear wheel hp. He (or she) has about 100 more hp than you do. Get a nitrous oxide system, supercharger, stroker motor or something because your L98 is no match for the LS1.

No, there's nothing wrong there. I have a 00TA and a 89IROC 5.7 and my TA will do the same to my IROC Not to say my IROC isn't pretty quick, but the LS1 is just plain faster...alot more $$ also.

What about the 12 second tpi motor that was in chevy high performance? Would that hold up to a LS1?

Heh, the LT1s I can play with but I'd never try vs a LS1, those things are extremely fast. Don't worry, before next summer I should get my procharger and then its game over

From what I've heard, the LS-1's are only good for mid to low 13's in the quarter. So that 12 second car should be able to take it.

Stock I'd agree but it doesn't take much to put a LS1 in the 12's...just look at my sig, then if that's not enough I have a 150hp NX kit to help out if needed
