This damn kid at work wants to race me in my little brother's TA. The ta completely stock ran a 14.1 on a hot night. Now it has K&N cold air and a flowmaster exhaust, but mainly stock still. This kid has a 93-95 sc factory super charged. He has a flowmaster exhaust, some lighter supercharger pulley, but other than that stock. Now, shouldn't the ta spank the ford? I would think that this car would be at least a second behind the ta in the quarter mile. Unfortunately the track was rained out last weekend or we would know the answer for sure.

Yeah I would think the TA would woop up on that Thunderbird, it's heavier for one. And I seem to remember that the 4th gens. were pretty quick yet I never heard anything about Tbirds. I wouldn't worry about it. I seriously doubt that Tbird would be runnin high 13's let alone 14s.

Youre kidding -right?

The T/A has him by 15 car lengths easy.

I have raced a few of the SC ThunderTurds on the street & it wasnt anywhere near close.

Put money on this race.....a lot of money. That super coupe won't even break into the 14's. Have fun at the track.

you brother has nothing to worry about, ESPECIALLY if the SC is an auto. The SC did the right mods to that car but still high-mid 14's AT BEST, your bro is in the 13's as it is now, so unless he shoots a piston through his hood(knock on wood ) he'll take him

The Trans Am would win in the 0-60 contest or any other contest against that Ford Thunderbird...... the Thunderbird stands no chance at beating the Trans Am, not even in reverse......
Race it and post the kill!

The Trans Am should beat that Ford Thunderbird in the 0-60 and the Ford Thunderbird would fare worse in the 1/4..... race him and post your kill!

Thats what I thought. I think this kid just thinks this car is fast because it is faster than the typical 6 cylinder, but he has no clue about the transam, that car flies. Hopefully they can get to the track before it closes before the winter, I will print this topic out in a couple of days to bring to work to show him, so if anyone wants to laugh at his slow car, feel free to say "ha".

Again, the local track is rained out. I'll have to wait until next week to post the kill I guess.

The S/C T-birds are no slouches, they are high 14s stock. The T/A will win, by the better part of a second in the 1/4 mile. Still though the S/C T-Birds are worthy of respect, are real nice rides, and would kill a TBI car in the 1/4 mile.
