How much will i lose by.

My bone stock 305 TBI vs. Friends Bone stock Iroc 350 TPI. Both are auto.

EDIT: Wait i forgot i have a shift kit. Only mod on the car when i got it.

oh i will try it alright. We are gonna race sat night probaly, win or lose its still fun. And atleast im losin to a 3rd gen and not a rice burner.

this i agree with. this board is overrun with people absolutely obsessed with rice. i dont even bother with anything n/a. i wish you the best of luck with the race, but unless you spray and do some other mods a l98 isnt within your reach. good luck

Good, we need more people to avoid racing rice. Remember even if you race himand win he still feels that he kept up, or he posed enough of a threat for the V8 to race him. If he wins it's twice as bad. My theory is that I won't waste the gas money with an rice burner. A 3rd gen is another story :-)

With tuning variables making the difference they do you can just never tell about a race. If that guy's L98 is a piece of sheite and runs like it, you've got a shot.

However, if it's running up to even the slow end of potential he's got at least a second on you in the 1/4 mile. Probably more like a second and a half... He could also be the worlds worst driver and sit at the line spinning for five minutes, who knows.

Good luck, let us know how close you manage to come. I'm guessing around 8-10 ish carlengths to 100 mph given equal launches.
