more MPH and Lower Times theory???

I have this wierd car, I guess its from lack of traction, but I get the exact same MPH (Not sure if times are the same) if I ease the pedal deaper the further down the road I go, as compared to staging up and going full throttle. Now I know these speeds/times arent accurate cause its only on a stretch of road that it is about 1/4 mile, but its just something i noticed

does it make sense?

MPH is a factor of HP, ET is a factor of traction.

right, MPH basically means how much power you have, ET means how well your getting down there (traction, gearing, etc,..)
