hey, i have an 86 z-28 305 code h engine that is stock, what do u suppose it would run in the 1/4, i know this is all theory but somebody on here must have a pretty good guess, i would go do it myself but i am only 15 and dad would kill me.

i'd say somewhere in the mid to low 16's in reality. I had an 87 SC with the 305 carb and after open header exhaust and a couple other mods i only managed to break it into the 15's and never hit any better before i sold it.

Yeah, i'd say low 16 high 15, but hey man, its your first car can't complain! When your first starting out, anything much faster can get you in trouble quick, plus insurance is gonna suck bigtime even as is. Just for the record though my car isn't any faster than that.

hey, thanks guys, i thought it would be around there but wasn't sure. if i put some headman headers that are in the summit racing section of the new super chevy, and put a flowmaster exhaust system and a chip, would i be lookin at that much of a dif. or jus a few tenths here and there(or would u guys recommend hookers). thanks a bunch,
yea i agree with the first car thing i dont wana have to fast a car i would have to beat every ***** and pony in my hood, lol.
o yea jus a question my friend is beggin me to ask what do u think his 81 trans am with a 301(i believe, stock) would run i told him same as mine but u know kids these days thinkin they can always beat us camaro's. i dont wana hurt his feelings to bad

Is your car a stick or an auto? If its a stick you will win. those 2nd gen TTA's are slow. Those little 4.9 turbo motors were pretty disappointing and those cars weighed about 2 tons. If you have an auto it gets interesting. I'm assuming both cars are in good working order.
