2nd Gen almost takes 3rd

I was on the way home today from work when I noticed a 90ish Mustang GT 5.0 ahead of me. I was going to catch up, but I just missed the light, and he got away, when a second gen Red Camaro Z28 pulled up a couple lanes away from me. It had a large B&M sticker on the side window, so I put it in first gear. The light went green, and I started off almost at idle when I heard the Camaro spinning it's wheels. I punched it, and jumped ahead and slowly pulled away till the next light. I looked over at the girl driving the Camaro and said "sweet car", and when the light went green, we both mashed it, this time I spun my wheel like crazy and she got the jump. I pulled from her rear quarter panel to her front fender when we both shut off, so I guess I lost that one. Was a lot of fun, though. What are those Z28's rated at?

I am happy for you, that you have the fastest thirdgen in the country. I am sure it was a lot of fun racing every thirdgen in the continental. I imagine it was a lot of wear on your drivetrain though. I never said my car was fast, I think I can hang with a stock LB9 A4 now, which still means I have a ways to go. I do not want to be the fastest, as I do not want to drop that kind of money in a car. I do want something relatively fast, yet very reliable. I would hate to feel what you felt before you had the "fastest 3rd gen", you must have been pretty insecure. If I do see you, I'll still try, does not mean I will win, hell I usually lose to other Fbodies (cept V6's and other TBI's).

you tell me what kind of motor you have and how you got it to push 210.

By the way the fastest 3rd gen went 222 mph at the salt flats. I just saw it in one of my issues of SUPER CHEVY. Its also the worlds fastest 350.

The fastest 3rd gen went over 300 mph at the salt flats. A bird. T/A or GTA with '91-'92 nose and ground effects on an earlier body, although the rear spoiler was the earlier aero version because the later style actually tried to lift the rear off the ground.
