Ok, A kid I know has a 69 firebird with a 389 that has been stroked out. Its auto and we estimate that it has some where around 350 hp. He runs a high 12. But he needs suspension. When ever he takes a corner the rear end lifts up and to one side. He also has a 3.42 gear. He has Nos on it and he runs a high 10 when it is engaged.

my car is a 87 iroc 350\350hp with a 5speed.
I have a 3.45 gear ratio.
Some people that have ridden in my car and rode in his also say I can take him. Untill his gives it NOS anyway. But im racing him all motor if I deicde to race.

However I dont think I can.

Can you shed some light on this and tell me what you think and how close would it be.

I personally think with 350hp and a 5-speed you should take him. Your car should go high to mid 12s, with traction, but you also have to worry about driver error. The auto won't miss a shift, and you would have to nail each shift to stay in it. If you do that you should take him, but race and tell us how it goes.

Believe me I hate living in the North section of the country. No good racing on the track or the street.

69 bird
Doubtful that you will beat a 12 second bird with a bigger engine than yours.

Gotta love that Firebird though. Especially if he has that 400 hood! That is bad ace. But, you have a nice car, but what is the traction situation on both sides? That would play a good deciding matter.
