Stock 89 RS, 305 TBI
Hey guys, These local ricers hangout at the culvers down the road from me and always talk crap about muscle cars. They all have Civics, I know for sure one is a 91si hatchback. It is all stock and he always say's he beats mustangs camaro's and even wrx's... I know this kid is full of ****, My camaro is a 305 TBI and I just found out today it has a Edelbrock intake. (Idk if it is any better for the car?) and just some bolt on's like a exhaust and airfilter. How fast will my car be? And will I be able to beat a civic (Stock). Sorry if this has been posted time and time, but I just want to know.

No problem. Making fun of kids in their parent's civics...mature dude.
How fast do you want to go? Speed costs money. You asked a vague question mainly in order to rip on the ***** owners which is played out and old.
So instead of crying like a girl and editing your original post why not actually give some actual INFO on what you want. What car are you trying to race? What the mods? What's your budget?
Got it? Good.
ooooooooooooooooooooooor you can use the cool thing called a search button and find out a starting group of mods your TBI engine should get...this isn't the section for that type of stuff.
There was also a reason your thread had 60+ views without a response. I'm just more of an ******* here than most.

Now, I never asked about how to mod my car, how to make it go faster. So before you waste all your time in being a keyboard warrior, how about you actually read something for once and ponder it. I clearly didn't ask how to mod my car or how to make it go faster, I simply asked will I beat these kids in their civics and if you ever met these kids you would know why I am ragging on these doucheNozzles, and I am sorry for my lack of details. I have seen these kids cars and they are ALL stock. A simple "No sorry but the stock civic will beat you." would have done just fine! And why don't I see you commenting on everybody else's threads where they bash *****'s?

The TBI LO3 F-bodys are pretty much slugs from the factory. They won't beat too many modern vehicles in a drag race... Still look good, though.

That's just the general response on this board. Sure it'd be easier no to just say
and let somebody else answer, but there are literaly thousands of threads with the exact same question.
And if you edit your post to where nobody can even read your original question nobody can answer it and it just starts crap that will get the thread closed and nobody can answer at all

Re: Stock 89 RS, 305 TBI
Still crying? Awesome!
So if these "douche nozzles" have a stock civic that is faster than you(which you're making fun of BTW) what's that make you?
You offer no years, no info at all. Is it a new Civic? An 87 Civic?
Oh wait, you edited your post, never mind.
Yes they'll beat you...but even if they don't they still win.
How's that?

Re: Stock 89 RS, 305 TBI
I am fairly sure a stock civic si can take your car.
I know my cammed 5 speed 88 accord could rape a TBI camaro.
The TBI L03s are just slow very slow for a v8 if any of the civics have any kind of engine swap they will probably put you down.
He could actually be beating mustangs and camaros but only the V6 and TBI versions. The 92,91 stock si can manage low 16s with a good launch. Just saying a lot of camaros and mustangs are really slow think about the 140hp stangs or the 4cly stangs or camaros.
Just running the sims quick a 1992 stock si can take a 1994 5speed v6 stang by 1.1 sec on the 1/4

Actually you started the name calling, I was just pointing out the irony of someone making with a 16 second car ripping on other cars.

Re: Stock 89 RS, 305 TBI
your 305 tbi is nothing to really brag about i should Know i used to have one! the only good thing about it is the sound it makes out of the muffler (and im talking about completely stock i know there are fast 305's). i never bragged about my car and you shouldn't either. wen i had a 305 TBI i raced a VW 4door (my friend has a big mouth and starts races) and i BARELY BEAT HIM! after that race i felt so ashamed of my motor (not the car though cause its a vert
). i think instead of starting problems with them u should get to know them as u can never hav enough friends especially if their friends with tools! just swallow ur pride

AHHH YES! THOSE JERKS! I mean I rolled up in my Ford F-150 to eat and the start laughing at my "stupid American car". The kids at highway use to be nice, I only know one kid that goes there with a yamaha enduro bike and a bright yellow jacket his name is Brandon Salter. He is a cool guy.
