92 lb9 auto z vs 06+ civic si coupe
Just curious how my z28 would run with one of these from a dig. My car has :in magnaflow cat 3in magnaflow catback 10deg initial timing air foil 180t-stat with 200 fan switch lowered founders poly/rod lcas lcarbs founders poly/rod Panhard rod racetronix fuel pump kit on stock fuel pressure. I'm about to ditch the 2.73s for a 3.42 rear in the next weekend or so and wanna line up with a friend before and after to see a comparison. Idk how accurate they are but I've played with a few iPhone apps and ran consistent 9.6-9.8 times in the 1/8 @74-77mph but from what I've read online is that's about normal times for these cars. I know I'd get raped on a roll race but was just wondering how I'd do on a dig race.

Probably be about even the 06s are slower than later years. You run a low 15 and so do they. They run about a 15.1 stock but if he sucks at launching you should take him. V8s can be a bit more forgiving of bad launches.

Yeah I know they can be quick just curious how the lb9 would hold up to one.

Seems to launch the best just a little higher than idle 1200. I've got some mirror drs for the trans am but I don't think I'll need them on this car for awhile lol.

Those Civics are decently quick, but they've started to get fat. If he's stock, and you get those 3:42s, so long as you got some good wide sticky tires and know how to launch, you should be able to take him.

Gear your Z28 and put some headers. Those stock manifolds are so restrictive, and those 2.73's need to go. With those mods your car will be tickling the 9.4 to 9.6 range. A tune and a bump in fuel PSI will unleash hidden power too! Good luck man!!!

3.42 aluminum drum rear and ls1 aluminum ds is going on in a few weeks but unless I find a screaming deal on some headers and y pipe the manifolds are staying. Not looking to put a ton of money into the lb9 since a 5.3/4l60 combo will be in it within the next year.
