tire help

I got a 1987 Iroc z28. Need all new rubber. Should I stick with and try to find some 245/50/16 or would B F Goodrich T/A 255/50/16 be good? As well look good. I don't want the car to raise much if at all. Any help would be great. If you have a picture with them on your car please post.

Re: tire help

I have 255 sized tires - worth the extra $$$ and they "fill in real nice".

The 255 is the width of the tire no the height. The 50 is the height and 16 means the size rim.

Re: tire help

Are the radials going to handle different? They are very lightly used but for $350 I don't think I can go wrong.

Re: tire help

I can't answer that. I also learned the hard way about buying used tires.

You wouldn't buy used "rubbers" would you.

(my rears, currently working on 255-ing the front end)
