me vs 99 ford contour SVT

ok a friend of mine just got a 99 ford contour SVT. I road in this thing and I was amazed on how quick this thing was. its a 5 speed and he spun the tires all the way through 3rd. I was like damn. I k now its a 2.5 v-6 24 valve. I wa sjust wordering who would win in a race me or him?

Um they aren't that fast my friend has one with the K&N air charger and Flowmasters and it ran a best of 14.94. My dads 1991 S10 4cyl 5 speed with 4:10 gears could chip into 4th but it wasn't fast.

I agree with Cody, those Contours have been to the tracks up hear and they are only good for low 15s, the older SHO Taurus' were better for racing than the Contour.

his ca rjust seems quick but I think after about 20 or 30 I might be able to take him. Although this thing does red to 7 grand do I dunno.

Even with John Force driving the ford you should still win. Your combo should be good for 14.4-14.7 so he should be no problem. I agree with all...Every one of these Ive seen at the track runs low 15's.

I raced exactly that car when mine was stock.......and I beat him from a 30-60 roll and from a stop. My first street race ever, and the guy was really cool about it.
