What are you talking about? Thats the first really fast "Honda" I've seen. Even though its only a Honda shell, it's American power (atleast that's what it looks like) that makes it move.

Hey Rx What are you doing with the car situation? Still looking for a third gen? or are you going to fix the Rx-7?

 

the RX is down for now
prolly will be for a while

need a new motor and if I am to do that I am going to prolly spend close to 3k on it
dont have the money for a motor yet
but should be able to hit close to 9000 rpms and make good power
lot more then I am making now


and last a lot olonger also

or so I hope

I am not sure I am going ot buy a thirdgen though

there are a few other things I am looking for and since I am going to try to keep my rx7 for my DD and weekend car I guess I should get something like a metro for my spare car that way I can get good mpg atleast soemtime

though I am sureI would try to get one of them to go fast also

I dunno, do you guys think this really counts as a honda? Obviously the powertrain isn't. Man that thing has to be crazy to drive.

 

Fast they may be, but those things are ugly as hell. If one of them beat you, what could you say? I got beat by a honda? No. Because without the engine and transmission that is not honda...the car would just sit there with the front end really high. Don't know what you would call something like that.
Anyway, I got to thinking about this f-body, third generation thing and I realized that my Cutlass is a third generation Cutlass right? They're only slightly older than camaros, I believe. 67 was year one for the camaro- correct me if I'm wrong. Also I got to wondering what the letter of my car was or whatever. It's a g-body.
Anyway, my vote: not a honda.

 

can you immaging what the frame of that crx looks like? its not stock... by all means thats not a honda... i bet its scary as **** to drive... being short, light, mad power, and narrow

hey rx7, a friend of mine has an 89 rx7 that he just had a new 13b rotary put in for 2400 bucks (motor and installation-i think he might have had a new turbo put in too) the place is in canada, near windsor.
let me know if you if you want me to get more info

btw, whats next a camaro or mustang with a b16 motor?

well what is he trying to be ??
a faster car?
if that isthe case he has a big step above almost any other car out there with the lighter weight

only problem he would have is keeping the car on a straight line
if he does that with all the power that motor looks like it could make then he is a lot better then rice

it looks like someone who is taking the time and effort to put something together that is to be fast.

I'd call it "Wild Rice".

It looks like something you'd practice in before you took it on a decent run. With the tiny wheelbase and the now high centre of gravity in the front, it wouldn't take much to roll that thing.

 

Do I like it? Do I hate it? I just can't decide. It is most definately different, and if thats what they were going for then they score a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10. I have to say though, I personally don't think its by any means rice. I guess its a muscle car, but a damn ugly one. But if the builder likes it, then more power to him. I have to say, this is one rice(if thats what you choose to call it) that would probably beat the **** out of most (if not all) of the cars on this board. Any 1/4 or 0-60 numbers or HP numbers?

 

I'm going to vote "not rice" because 1. some guy probably just said one day "hey wouldn't a blown V8 sticking out of the hood of a CRX be hilarious!" and 2. The only thing that can possibly be honda on there is the body and what there is of an interior. And besides, true ricers aren't fast If you could actually control that **** I'm sure it'd be super fast due to power to weight ratio, not to mention the sheer horsepower that I'm assuming it has. Who knows it could be all for show. Just somone with a lot of time on their hands. Personally I think its funny.

all that is CRX on it is the body and that is if it is even the stock body and not some fiberglass molding of it

other then that I am sure everything else on it is fab work

the thing is tubbed out. it is RWD they have the body cut out to fit the motor in there
that thing is far from being a CRX

 

its a crx , no matter what you say , it looks like a crx no matter how many mods it has , or how fast it is , its still ugly as sin . wow a crx tubbed out ,. whoopy doo ! ive seen better more original creations why not do the same to supra or a corvette ?who the hell cares about originality ? it doesnt matter to me anymore , as long as its fast and can have the ladies looking twice , and i doubt that horrific thing would granted , it would be cool to drive once in a while , but its still a crx no matter what it has done , thats what it started as thats what it will finish as ! just like if i tub my car and throw a 502 in it , its still a damn camaro !

 

You're right, no matter what its still a CRX. Thats the same way I see civics. No matter how crazy the body kit or even how fast it is, its still a civic. Or Neon. Or Tiburon, or whatever the case may be
