92 3.1L RS Auto VS. 83 Z28 5.0 Carb Auto
Hey guys,
My friend just got a Camaro Z28, he dropped it by my house the other day, lightin' the tires on my street and braggin he had a v8 cuz I only have a six. But the thing is, his is carbed (not crossfired) and mine is fuel injected (mpfi). I know the numbers are close, both cars are in near mint condition, as the z28 has EVERYTHING it came with. GREAT car. But the thing is, will he win with his carbed v8, or will I win with my Fuel Injected V6 w/ Flowmasters. His is stock, bone stock, and mine has t tops if that helps, his doesn't.

I was in a similar situation and beat my buddy's '84 LG4 'Maro like a rented mule three times in a row. Hmmm...he DID have about 60,000 more miles on his car than I did though...
I also had a chip, filter, and exhaust--so about 5-10 HP over stock.
If his camaro's in decent shape, he should probably wup ye, but give 'er a go anyhoo
MILT

i raced my friends 92 bird with a 3.1 auto in my 83 bird with a 5.0 4 barrel auto, both bone stock and beat him barely, mainly because mine was quicker off the line, but since you have exaust, it could be incredibly close and come down to the engines condition (small **** like oil)
the simplest thing to do .. is to mod ur air box..
like cut the bottom out... and u can beat him...
ur RS has a very restrictive air flow... get rid of that and ull rev better... and then UR better than MOST TBI's

He got headers. He could hang on to my late 2nd, 3rd side by side and see ya.
He got an exhaust. He could then hang till early 3rd then see ya. he stopped after losing around 500 bucks....
My car is pretty much bone stock. I have a custom(TOTALLY) custom ram air intake, and slight port but mainly gasket matched upper and intermidate plenium and a little poshing. 3.1 5 speed. Thats it. new rear tires, but thats not really a mod.
