Who would win a race between my 86 vs a stock 93 Z28 auto vs 80-81 Corvette Stingray vs 86 Olds Cutlass Saloon V6. Ive already smoked the Olds (110 hp, HA!) but how will I fare against the other 2 chevys? Also some #s on the two chevys would be nice.

if the vette is an l82, it was a decent motor, if its stock, itll be a drivers war, if its moddded, youre toast. those years also debuted the "awesome" cease-fire injection 305's, if its that car, youll munch him. but if its just the base 350, youll probably win too. but the l82's had somewhere in the 220 range but with a lot of torque, and slight mods would wake it up.

 

i know a buddy of mines 78 corvette with a 350/4barrel isnt anything to brag about...id take him stoplight to stoplight but i couldnt hold crap against him up on the highway...also most people get the corvettes for the statis not the speed...i personally dont like corvettes except for the new ones

 

If it make any diff my engine has over 230K on it and I believe the Stingray is a 350 but is bone stock. The Z28 has 55K & a LT-1 and is now for sale for $8,999. Im thinking of buying it What do they usually run?

 

93 Z28's run low 14's/high 13's stock...a little faster if you have the 6 speed, a little slower with the auto. Do a few mods and they run high 13's.
