I need to hit 300Km/ph

I was in my buddies '94 T/A today he just got it a week ago. We decided to test the limits on this car. We hit 240km/hr in this car. I don't know how the govener is supposed to stop it a 180 i thought? Anyways this was not good enough for me i want.....no i need to go faster then this. My goal is 300. It would also make it the fastest anyone has taken a car in my city. Highest was a Dodge Viper who went 290 before the guy died in a non-related freak accident. Kinda local folklore but the guy is dead. If i get caught though i would spend i think a month in jail and permanently lose my licsense seeing as it is triple the highest posted speed limit in my province. How can i do this?????

If you could convert that to MPH then I might be able to help you (Dont you just love it how Americans force the rest of the world to conform to there standerds)

190 MPH....Good Luck. You would need a T-56 and a really low gear. And several miles of open road. Honestly it's probably impossible to do it. Tell us about what you've done to your car so far.

yea man LOW GEARS and MODS could a stock 94 with low gears even go that fast?
If you get pulled over doing 180 or even over a hundred you can count on loseing your licsence and a KILLER TICKET.
I would also STRONGLY RECOMEND you get used to driveing the car and see how it reacts to different situations before you attempt to drive that fast...... The last guy I know of that did that wraped it around a pole and riped the 01 WS6 in half.
To be safe come down here to oklahoma or even texas.
We have smooth back roads that go straight and flat for 10 miles plus.
If I where you I would think this over
If you get in a wreck at those speeds on a stock car your dead no questions asked. even a roll cage would not do much good.

It's almost exactly 180 MPH actually, yes it's possible with T56 and 2.73's. It will take a lot of money and it's not worth it. Traveling at those speeds is purely idiotic when there are no speed limits of more than 60 MPH... that is of course why speed limits are imposed. You're gonna need a heavily blown engine to do it though (600-700 Hp+). If you do it, take it to a track, cause innocent by-standers don't deserve to be run down by a car traveling at that speed.

if you want to see how fast it can go after the mods.. why not take it to a race track, at least then you would not get any tickets or loose your licencse..

There is a guy with a monte carlo SS and he had to drop a big block in with twin turbos and innercoolers and low gears just to touch 200 and he did it on the dry salt lakes

Well if you do decide to go for it I recommend a living will and let your family know how you want to be buried and maybe some sort of nice big life insurance policy.

I second that. You can come to the Texas panhandle, and at night see Amarillo from 60 miles away, and the road doesn't turn.
Flat and straight as hell.

Are there really no speed limits higher than 60 where you live? It's 70 almost everywhere here and all the the way to my Granma's house in Missouri, and in Colorado there are places where it's 75.

don't be retarded. just stick it on a dyno and simulate real conditions and see how fast it will go there. it might cost close to $100 but at least you can count on driving (or at least walking away if you break something)

I live in the middle of the praires in canada and i have a 3 extra-wide lane highyway circling the city. You can go in a straight line fore about 30min. As for mods there are none on the car right now aside from Eibach pro-kit and KYB AGX's on all 4. The plan is for a LT1 aspirated 406 in the next year or so that will be able to breathe into the 6000RPM range. Rear gear is a 3.42 and with a 4spd auto 4l60 with TransGo rebuild kit. Balanced driveshaft. I won't lose to some puny LT1. Oh ya 275/ZR17 tires It might take me a while but i think i can do it.

I agree with with smokein87Iroc,
Dont be stupid dont be a hero, even with what you just said it still would not get that fast.
go to the Dnyo not the funeral home.
Im not trying to flame but you need to learn some things in life.
Im 18 and I have a lot of experiance BUT I am also search and rescue and have seen wrecks, over a 100 mph you are DEAD my friend!
Again I say you need a big block or a huge small block, twin turbos, weight reduction, low gears, and twin innercoolers, and a a lot of other things, you can get to 160 no sweat, 180 if you know what you are doing 200 if you are a expert.
Also have you ever braked going over 75 mph and lost control then re gained control? I have and it took me well over 200 feet to stop, aslo it may take you 120 feet to stop from driveing at 60mph... now picture 200.
Dont try to be a hero more people eill look down on this then say good job.
David

If you EVER want to go anywhere neer that fast, take it to the boniville salt flats, please. What happens if a deer, kid, dog or anything else runs out into the road? There'd be no way you could ever stop in time, and sweving at that speed will get you killed real quick.

Last summer there was a kid at my school (Kettering University) that had a sweet LS1 WS6. Well, he was showing off to his friends (i didn't actually know the kid), doing about 130mph. He hit a curve, that under 100mph incurrs absolutly no g forces (it is 2 lanes each way and a center turn lane). He lost control of it and crashed. Well the car skidded into the curb, hit it and bounced, skidded (you could see where different wheels were hitting the grass, there was even a couple spots where there were no skid marks) about 200 ft before hitting a large tree. The car was still going fast enough that the only way to tell it was a Trans Am was the wing and wheels. Other than that it was a tangle of broken metal and plastic. Also, if he had not hit the tree he would have gone straight into a house, possibly hurting/ killing innocent people in there.

Anyway, the driver died instantly (unbelted) and the two (belted) passengers were hospitalized for a long time. They had broken pelvises and chest injuries. I'd be surprised if they walked right after that.

No the guys dead. He got into a accident a couple years back with the Viper on the Disraelie Bridge. I remember it being in the papers. He was really dumb and had more HP then brain cells. I just wanna go 300 cause its a challenge. And where i want to do this there are no people around and it is all farmers fields no trees.

Not to be mean but 1 you will need to get Z rated tires and two cars flip very easaly in feilds this is because it is not smooth ground. Why dont you take it to the salt flats???????
We cant stop you from this even tough I know that with what you say you want to do to the car that it wont go that fast but the viper guy died because he was stupid and drove that fast.... your using your own words against yourself....

yeah, i kinda remember that now.... saw the smashed up viper at the dealership (or.. could of been a different viper).. anyways..
like i said.. go to the viking international speedway in gimili... it's just an hour's drive (at the most) away...
if not.. there's a couple of roads down here where u could try... but... finding one with no cops in southern manitoba is hard.. they seem to "know" when ppl are either racing or just going fast...
#23 hiway eas or west.. eastward would be better.. pretty desolated hiways.. or #14 (which is right by my place) is also pretty desolated.. but there's a couple of bridges 2-4 miles down on it.....
on the 23 eastwards there's one half way down to the end of it.. (it dead ends.. so watch out for that) and train tracks about 10 clicks after morris.. so, u shouldn't go that way..
westwards there's a bridge 5 clicks out of morris then u'r pretty much open t'll rolland.. (big *** curves down that way.. sweet if u like sliding or just going around curves)..
neways.. if u ever decide to do it.. i recomment gimili..
