late 80's civic si gets smoked (Lg4 kill)

well i had just gotten done rebuilding the top half of my carb and a few things still werent set right, it didnt pick up quite as fast but it was still pretty quick. anyways, my dream finally became true, i got a stoplight with a honda civic with all the racing stickers on it. it looked like it had been lowered, had exhaust and who knows what else. the light turned green and we both coasted off like nothing, then a car turns in my lane and gets in front of me, and as soon as that happens he flies by me. im getting a little agitated at this point so i merge lanes to get around the car in front and sure enough the little ***** gets stuck at a light. we line up again, this time he tries to rev his little motor, and when the light turned green we just took off like normal, then i hear him hit his powerband (i guess he was flooring it the whole time) and i put it to the floorboards and immediately put some serious carlenghts on him. i let off going only about 50 and he was at least six cars behind me. he tried to fly by but i saw that coming and left him behind. so we get another light and this time he's looking totally away. i wait for the light to turn green figuring this would be our last light and his last chance to get me, but when the light turns green i put carlengths on him instantly. i can finally say that these rice rockets are crap. they cant be good for anything more then a mid 16 in stock form.

Good kill. Maybe one more person out there, that realizes their car is slow.

ChillPhatCat, what are the part numbers on your edelbrock carb and intake? im looking to replace these on my 84 Z (LG4 auto), and was wondering if these comply wth all the smog and computer equipment. most aftermarket stuff for LG4s always have footnotes saying "not for use with ccc's", and "for use with non-EGR systems". any track times for this combo as well?
